Good sense from three stalwarts...21 Dec 2020 15:44
on here, dickupham, Mommur & RELLIM, I have to say and I echo their take on things right now and am happy to join 'em, fwiw...
Now's not the time to lose heart, just because the sp languishes for a variety of reasons - it rarely reflects current worth and certainly not the potential here, given all the benefits to accrue as things stand, never mind any opportunistic deal SQZ might yet announce to our advantage.
A friend asked me the other day why Serica seemed to have lost it's mojo? I replied that it hadn't - 'the yield is going up after all; don't forget' - he seemed satisfied upon that reminder but my wit, alas, clearly passed him by!
That joke aside, I think there's a good chance of a decent divd hike next time, given the 8 x eps cover we already have and even a modest improvement in the net distributable at the Y/E should facilitate that prospect quite easily - maybe an annual distribution of, say, 5p ps?
That would be a good sop for us patient LTHs at this level, would it not? Although SQZ's not an income stock, per se, a reliable 5% yield in this income starved environment would be quite something to augment our appeal on top of all the other plus points we have upcoming, imv.
Just sayin'... sasa.
