RE: A FTSE 100 stock yielding 6.6%...31 Aug 2021 16:47
Can only agree with this inexplicable disaffection with most 'goldies' right now, Bananaman - even the quality miners like this one are bypassed in favour of numerous 'zombies' / risky stocks , etc., but sentiment can change very rapidly and they're so many drivers building behind it...
For now, many see Butcoin as the digital alternative to the real stuff currently (an intangible asset you can't get your hands on / subject to hacking of the 'secure wallet' / supposed limitation of 21m coins (oh,yeah, who says and guarantees?) and forget your password, forget your investment!
Hardly comparable to the real McCoy, is it? - as I said the other day - "If you're in a soup kitchen queue and the guy in front of you is clutching a fistful of fiat money, whereas you have even a gram of gold glinting in your hand, no guesses who gets served first!
Meanwhile, us POLY holders earn a near 7% yield to boot, as you say, so no contest in my book - sasa.
