Don't think so. They have been working with Radx since December. Also the use of the phrase our test twice in the tweet makes them sound quite proprietorial

They are 2 different markets. They will normally go hand in hand pricewise but there is nothing to stop one being 10% up and the other 10% down at any one time.
For a few weeks the Tils Nasdaq and FTSE prices were well out of sync but now they have moved back into alignment.

By my very rough calculations it's less than £30k worth and all apart from 1 are automated bot trades. On Aim today nearly £2.5m traded.

Compare to Finch Biotherapeutics. They listed last week. Over $1m worth traded so far today.

I agree with you Starjump. It would be nice if there was a microbiome ETF available.

Our impatience with the share price it is worth taking into account the fact that 4D is a listed company where shares are available to the public.

Quite a few in this space are still private and only available for venture capital investors.

Take the French company Enterome. I would love to grab some shares in them but they are not publicly listed.

ARK Invest are monitoring the sector and some of the investments they make in Microbiome companies will be private.
4D on Aim is a great opportunity for patient investors.

There are a few others in the race for first LBP approval.
Rebiotix completed a P3 last year again for C-dificil.
However I posted some stuff here yesterday about possible accelerated FDA approval pathways for drugs that have initial data that show they are life saving treatments.

Seres are now tied in to the success of their gut disease programmes, c-difficil and ulcerative colitis.
Whereas 4D are looking to differentiate themselves from others in the microbiome sector by proving how their primary focus is not curing gut disease with the gut microbiome, instead the plan is to bring solutions from the gut microbiome to oncology, neurodegenerative and respiratory disease.
Maybe that is having some influence on the lack of talk about the IBS results and plans.

Phil, Seres seems to be a bit of a mess. They originally screwed up dosing with the P2 C-dificil trial about 3-4 years ago, which cast a shadow on the whole microbiome sector causing a crash in 4D price at the time.
Otherwise they would have got the product to market by now and it is now further delayed because they didn't include enough patients for conclusive P3 data. They are now running around recruiting at multiple sites to try and get patients.

As they use a consortia approach (mixing different bacterial strains) they seem to have to prove they are better than random microbiome dumps like faecal microbiota transplants. So in the oncology trial they set up they included an FMT arm as well as placebo. However, covid has meant that FMTs are effectively banned. It also looks like they messed dosing up again- either that or the candidate drug didn't perform as they expected it to.
So I think the problem is them as a company and I also have doubts about the consortia approach. I prefer the single strain one, which 4D have adopted because I think it is more straightforward to produce effective data on the drugs mechanism.

As a reminder 0518 is now being studied in 3 trials for oncology with a 4th trial (Bavencio trial) due to start later this year.
Meanwhile, Seres with its market cap of $2bn flopped with its flagship oncology trial and has had to go back to the drawing board. (They do have another drug for recurrent C-dificil that's been thru a P3 but there are issues with that).

A few days before the placing last year 4D was trading at 100p so for their original investment MSD must have pushed for the lower price of 50p in order to go ahead with their investment.

MSD bought in $5m at a placing price of 50p. This year to get another $1m worth they insisted on being added at the last minute to the recent placing at 110p. So in their eyes the value of the company proposition has doubled in 12 months.

I still think the additional investment is primarily linked to the vaccines program because taking out an equity stake was part of that particular collaboration.

4D income was up to 500k which I imagine was related to the work they have been doing sourcing vaccine candidates.
