Have had a reply from CMR re the e-mail I sent them - "The situation re Regulatory Announcements is that we are restricted by our nomad and other advisors as to what we can say. It has to be factual and the only scope to expand on matters is in the MD quote area. In fact the anouncement you refer to was only put out on the directions of our advisors to alert the market to delays (negative), so not a release we would have put out normally. However, third-parties and other commentators have a free-reign, and Equity Growth Research are commissioned by us to issue their reports and views. If you look at previous RNS's we have been quite bullish, but that's when its been a normal release under our full control. I do understand how you feel, esp. in relation to share price, and in order to improve public awareness we have recently changed our PR company, and their impact should be felt in the future."

Hi Cookieboy. I 'm sure they are on there way soon, but the figures showing above may not be correct as I can't find them on any other page at this price. Still showing on the LSE and my broker pages at 1.50p / 2.00p. Should be good news out in 2 weeks time we hope.

Could quite possibly be so. I read a newspaper report some months back now that there had been a big gold find in the same area as Quintana by a small gold prospecting company, the find being possibly bigger than anything in recent years, and the news would be released in conjunction with the Columbian government at the appropriate time. Haven't seen anybody else yet announcing big finds in this area. Maybe it's only newspaper talk though - but what a thought if it were true and it was CMR. (I can dream can't I)

Hi Gemma, I have just sent another e-mail to CMR (the CFO) ref last RNS only containing the negative aspects relating to progress, and asking them why all the possitive progess as detailed in the Hemscott repost was not included. I did say we would like to see the good bits also included in the prelims out in a couple of weeks.

Hi Walras, thanks for the link, I think this is very similar to a couple of other links that are available. Few more people taking notice of CMR now, especially as a few reports say the share is undervalued. Have talked to senior management who are upbeat about the coming months. Prelim Announcement has been confirmed for the 16th June 2008 which is only 2 weeks this Monday. As you say, it will be an interesting 3rd and 4th quarter for CMR and hopefully we shall all see a nice % increase in our investment here. I am in this for the longer term, so the jouney should be interesting from here on.

Really good independent report that was sent through - this shows that the sp is below where it should be, but that gives us the opportunity of buying some more should the mm's decide to drop them again. Did you manage to get anymore at todays dip ??. I don't think there will be too many more opportunities at sub 1.75p again, but should there be I will try for a few more. Every share you can buy at these prices has got to be profitable in my opinion. Can't have to many at these prices.

Hi Gemma, No I would not pay over the ASK price for them. I tried for over 3/4 hour on and off and still they would not let me have them at what they were showing for. I phoned them up and they tried fobbing me off with "the price @1.75p was only for amounts of up to 50,000 ish". Absolute rubbish as you can see for yourself the trades that went through. I am not so disappointed as I do have a fair few, but if I had not had any before, then I would have been. I have had this happen several times now with Hargreaves Lansdown, and I know of other investors here that say the same also.

Hi Gemma, 5p will also do me for starters. Have been trying to buy some more this afternoon now they dropped to 1.75p to buy. Hargreeves Lansdown will not give me a price for 200,000 and they want 1.90p for 100,000 even though the ask is 1.75p and there are buys of 100,000 going through at 1.75p. I know of other investors that do not like H/L prices which seem to be at a higher price than others can buy for at times.

The following is a section of a report I have just received today - Share price performance and investment view CMR has continued to come under heavy pressure this year despite the rapidly emerging prospect of production. Since the end of 2007, the stock is down 12.5% to 1.75p/share which leaves the market capitalisation at a mere £3.7m. Weighing on the stock has been the continuing drip feed of new equity, the dilutive impact of the Bluecrest financing and a lingering scepticism concerning the ability of CMR to make the transition from explorer to producer. Given the difficulty of raising project finance, we believe, however, that CMR had no alternative other than to accept an element of dilution through the Bluecrest deal and further equity issues. As the production start-up moves closer, we would expect the scepticism surrounding CMR to gradually dissipate allowing the stock to recover. It should be noted that in addition to its Colombian and Peruvian interests, CMR also has some sizeable base metal properties in Spain and uranium and gold interests in Bulgaria. We believe a sum of the parts calculation could in principle quite easily justify a price of 5p/share

The following points did not seem to appear in the RNS of 22 April 2008 - Cambridge Mineral Resources plc ('CMR' or 'the Company'), the mining exploration and production company, announces an update on development activities at its Quintana Gold Mine in Colombia. Work commenced onsite on 10 February 2008, and development activities on surface have seen the completion of a 5.1km access road to the mine site at Quintana, completion of site access, work on the construction of a Tailings Management Facility to full international standards as designed by Golder Associates and additional earth-works at the mill site. Underground activities recommenced on 16 February and thus far have seen the completion of 15m of raising of the internal No.2 Incline Shaft to surface and the recommencement of sinking this shaft to No.4 Level some 150m below present base of mine). A new winder has been installed on No.0 Level, pending its redeployment to the shaft headgear on surface that is currently under construction. Most major items of plant equipment, including the primary and secondary crushing circuits, the grind circuit, the free-gold gravity recovery circuit and the flotation and cyanidation circuits, have been sourced and ordered from various suppliers. Delivery to site is expected over the next 100 days. A pre-fabricated mine camp with accommodation for 50 has been ordered and is expected to be delivered to site within 50 days.

I notice the companies next Prelim Announcement has been confirmed for the 16th June 2008. Last month Barclays have increased their shareholding in the company from 7% to 8% which in round figures is another 3,000,000 shares bought.

Was only joking about your 20,000 when I said was it shares or pounds, as I didn't think you meant pounds, as gemma said, thats £200 when they move 1p. I need them to move up 0.25p from here until I am at break even so I will be happy when they are up by 1p, but as already said, I am in for the journey and we are all expecting the journey to be more than 0.25p. That would mean if they moved up to 6p as someone has already stated, then I could sell 33.3% of my holding and get my stake back, leaving the other 66.7% to see where the journey ends which we think could be quite a bit further on if we are lucky. Musn't wish our time away, but looking forward to when CMR start producing later this year. Had a long day today, as I have been on the go since 5.30 this morning, so off to bed now after I have a cup of coffee. Catch you all again / tomorrow or next week.

Likewise, everyone needs to dyor and if they like what they find, then the decision is their's if they proceed to invest. Was only joking when I said about Cookieboy's 20000 being shares or cash, although Trying was saying he is in for "350,000 of these beauties" as I think his words were. I feel good about CMR and the research I have done, and that is why I have invested, not just because there may be quite a few others now that are seeing this share is ultimately a possible good moneyspinner. As said in one of my earlier posts "lets all get rich together" on this one.

Well gemma I have done quite a bit of homework on CMR over the pasy 9 months, but I have also learnt some more from your posts about the area etc that CMR has it's mines - WELL DONE on your posts, most informative. I see Cookieboy is coming in with 20,000 on Tuesday, hhmmm he didn't say if it was shares or pounds !!!!!

Hey John, o.k. on the ADVFN bb you may have not beeen welcomed into a select little group - so leave ADVFN on ADVFN, don't bring yourself down to their level if they don't want you. Here on this page we have investors who will try and help those requsting info etc, and to share their knowledge and research with others freely, as we have all had to start off being "new boys and girls on the block etc". If anyone does not want to share in helping others then they won't be posting here. Even the experianced investor can still learn from what others have managed to uncover from where ever. I wouln't say I am an expert on investing by a long way, and I have followed my own research and "gut instinct", with my biggest losses coming from what the stock brokers have said I ought to be investing in. Here on this page others are sharing their experiances / information etc with each other, but unless you do your own research and then feel happy with it I would not buy into any share. I have been in the Financial Services for 18 years now, and a bit of sound advice I have always remembered is that "You have 2 eyes / 2 ears / 1 mouth, and if you use them in that order you won't go far wrong". There is no offence being made here John, what I am trying to say is look, listen, dyor, and if you feel happy with it, then go for it. Couldn't resist one last "post" Gemma. Surprised to see you put "if & when" CMR go up. Surely you meant "when they go up" ????? No good investing in them if you are not sure. We know they are going to go up - the qustion is how long before they do ??. Good company, good management with possitive thinking - he who hesitates is lost.
