I wonder if GH is waiting till the results Rns ( possibly next Thursday morning) to catch the buy on the rumour sell on the news brigade, before releasing the Scallywag Rns later that day?

That message seems to confirm what we already know from Paddy’s satellite pictures, The ore body is getting wider longer and deeper. ( the hole).

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had news on Scallywag, with the added bonus of a J/V with one of the majors from the start. Perhaps putting in 20 million for an initial 20%.

Would that be feasible and would a Major commit so much without any results, even though GGP’s history with Havieron and initial ground work at Scallywag look good?

I still can’t stop wondering if the timing of the exercise of options, has something to do with Fridays purchase.

An employee has take up his options and the 6 million Shares are due to be listed on Monday.

If that person has intimated he was willing to sell at a certain Level, could the MM’s Have forward sold those as part of the 9 million + trade on Friday?

Better still, if the MM’s have no knowledge, but assume that employee is going to sell, could they have made that deal in anticipation?

If the second point is correct and the employee keeps hold of his shares, would we have a short squeeze on our hands?

It’s going to be fascinating to see what happens On Monday.

Does anyone think that the take up of options By GH and an employee were well timed bearing in mind this late trade today?

How many trading days till we expect the report? So if you were a trader buying on credit, for those results, when would you buy in?

It’s always difficult trying to catch the floor or to sell at the top. Very few do it. I only got into these recently after seeing the last Rns and had £500 spare in the account at the time. After seeing the buying today I thought I could afford to lose what I’ve bought today.

Hopefully the energy industry will start to recover as all countries rebound from this virus.

If we start drilling at Scallywag, before the MRE is completed and we hit similar grades at scallywag as Havieron, could that have an effect on getting as good a price for Havieron?

It may seem a strange question, but as Scallywag is nearer to Telfer, could Newcrest turn it’s attention there first and leave Havieron till later? With no additional funds from a sale of Havieron we could be in a similar position of having a world class deposit but having to do a J/v on poorer terms.

Could this happen?

I have stated previously how many I own, which is less than a lot on here, but for me is a tidy sum and I won’t be selling cheaply, no matter If they take the price down to try and steal peoples shares.

Are there any circumstances where Newcrest could delay the results of drilling? For example, commercial sensitivity, where providing results could alert a predator before they have secured their 70% interest in Havieron.

The board is building up the tensions and importance of these results in June and If they don’t fulfil expectations or provide enough detail, then the share price could take a hit.

I know the ASX is much better regulated than Aim, but I just wondered if they too have exceptions to the general rule about informing the markets on any relevant matters.

Then why didn’t he sell the 28 million options at 0.28 p a share which expire in about ten weeks time?

I can only assume there is a reason behind the timing of GH taking up the options And why he chose the more expensive ones to take. His broadcast yesterday has some2hat been dampened by today’s news and seems to have stopped momentum in it’s tracks. ( For today anyway).

Thanks TMT for the explanation. I was thinking that at the time of allocation if it was for nil consideration, there woulD be no tax implication until they were sold and then CGT or income tax would become payable. Appreciate the reply.
