The MM's will always fleece the lowest common denominator. They know we have had a load of unresearched buyers, it's the perfect example of why people in the main lose money on AIM. You can guarantee some of the sells today are from people who bought in higher.

Desperate attempts to trade down from 22p this morning when the same shares could have been sold at high 23's. The MM's must be loving being gifted these shares when V prices are rising and Cooperman has just given the vanadium space a huge buy signal.

I think that the trading crew that were encouraged to buy at 22 signposted way too clearly what their exit strategy was and the MM's just saw it as a chance to pull the rug from under the lot of them. Now they have a load more shares collected below where they have been selling them all week and hardly any of that group will have made much. Job done if you are an MM. The disappointing thing again is how stage-managed it was from yesterday, rather than being genuine consolidation.

There was a hint mid-afternoon that Ramaphosa would introduce a tougher lockdown, circulated via a fake whatsapp message. I watched his speech last night to be sure and it was all about vaccination and encouraging compliance. Nothing changed apart from some opportunism.

I wonder if they went for some stop losses for those that bought in the 22p range looking for the 25.4p shared by a well known trader. If leveraged, they would have been easy pickings.

Given the buys this morning, the sequence of trades that dropped the price looks ridiculous.

Overall it will probably be more helpful for the share price too. Some consolidation, new investors (in from higher SP's) and a bit more of a free float as we move up this time leaves us more likely to actually sustain this move.

In 2018 it was just straight up and down again once we got to the high 20's, it took weeks not months to hit 50p.

This time around the rise is being driven by more realistic V prices but with the justification that Bushveld are a bigger company and the natural hedge of VRFB is close to becoming a reality. (In terms of the bottom line). The biggest task for the BoD from a shareholder perspective, is making the MC more sustainable so people can enjoy dividends down the line if they choose to.

Perversely I would rather we ascended in a measured fashion so the price doesn't get ahead of itself and become erratic. We don't just want all time highs and then back to 15p, we should want to see a business that can sustain a decent valuation as it grows into the VRFB industry and expands production.

I honestly wonder how anyone can spend all day, day after day, involved in discussions about BMN and seriously think that at this moment, at the beginning of the VRFB journey, with all the threads there to be pulled on, with all the opportunity ahead to grow into the VRFB / BESS market, that the story is fully told or that BE is a project management company.

Leasing, local assembly, electrolyte, investment, value chain leverage - show me a real world Project Management company with that business model. The fact we aren't manufacturing VRFB's has nothing to do with that classification.

There is clearly a repositioning of Bushveld to bring its energy message and vertical integration model to the fore coming. Fortune has pretty much confirmed that. What is the betting that the clearly deepening relationship with Rongke, the unveiling of plans for Enerox and local assembly go hand in hand in formulating the nature of this reveal. We also are yet to see Bushveld Energy fully play its hand on project development, leasing and so on.

Personally I think calling BE an enabler is a pretty harsh critique of Bushveld Energy and does Mikhail and his aspirations for BE a huge dis-service. It seems more like a response driven by a desire for more information at a time when commercial sentivities are restricting the release of more info, than a genuine assessment of the current nature of the business.

Fortune has trailed what is coming. Now its about what is delivered and what shape it takes. But one things for sure, it isn't to see BE as a glorified project management service.

We have enabled the creation of a potentially huge long term customer to merge and are now seeing them start to take off. We don't need a seat on their board, we need to sell them electrolyte and make money off our shares, both of which we are doing.

It would appear that the argument for Bushveld bidding for 9% is as simple as -

It says 250mwh on the BE site.

The self generation total is 180mwh

250-180 = 70

70 as a % of 815 = 9% (ish).

Therefore - the question asked of Bushveld by Mogwhy seems to have been - 'does the self-generation project count towards the 250mwh on the BE website.' which they may have confirmed.

Continuing to use percentages, we can safely conclude that there is 0% chance a tendering business would update its public pipeline to include projects it was bidding for competitively, of the profile of the Eskom BESS project.

I don't know about anyone else but for me the 250mwh on the BE site is also meaningless. Anyone who has managed a businesses work pipeline will know that what is behind the scenes (as a result of sensitivities, NDA and Comms Mgmt) and what is on a public-facing website are always completely different.

I doubt anyone outside BMN can confidently say what % of Eskom we are bidding for.

So how can you talk so decisively about exactly what Bushveld have submitted bids for? You clearly reference that your own ability to ask the right questions of Bushveld is driving your conclusions so it would clearly suggest you feel that they have given you personally information regarding what their realistic project pipeline is and what that includes and excludes and you have done some maths on that basis.

Sidenote - it says 250mwh on the Bushveld Energy website.

If the company are telling you exact what they are bidding for when it isnt in the public domain then they really,really should not be.
