Tomco investors should be aware that as announced today, the first oil removed from the POSP to the refinery will, as necessity, also contain high levels of solvent which allow the bitumen to be transported and pumped. This has been the Achilles heel of the entire process as the solvents used are expensive and eat in to or remove entirely the plants commercial viability. No matter how well the POSP operates, they still need to get the product to market, which they cannot do Unless expensive diluents are used, in other words exactly where the POSP has always been.

MSAR removes the need for diluents AND refineries. Instead, producing a low sulphur ready to use HFO replacement and available for sale to customers at premium prices.
MSAR production or deliveries of bitumen to refineries at negligible profit? Pretty clear who needs who in this debate.

I’m not I’m financial services so do not speak with any authority whatever when I ask, where is the risk for brokers in a placing? Surely, unless they underwrite it which they didn’t in this case, there’s no risk to them? They find the investors who stump up the cash, investors take the risk.

I don’t expect any news from QFI on MSC until the tripartite contracts are signed. On track etc is just fluff, we need the contracts announced and until then we have to wait. The timeline given suggests end of June at least before we get there, so maybe July before it lands.
The initial work was meant to last 3 months yet MK said recently they (initial phase) was “progressing well”.
Taken at face value then, the initial work is still underway a month after it should be done.
Does that mean we are behind schedule? Who knows but previous performance suggests yes.

Just how hard would it have been to access the info you seek? Google, read some of the previous days posts or simply take the lazy twat approach and expect others to supply it for you.

The EoM residue is suitable for power use only as far as I remember, so most likely BioMSAR for refinery own use whilst complying with European emission laws. Another vague straw to pull at, wouldn't put any weight on it as a project.

Indeed Tuckman, the odds are better this time around for sure, but commercial deals are what will make us, or not. What many holders will no doubt bear in mind, is the SP prior to a commercial decision will be significantly higher than it would be if the outcome is negative, so its all about risk levels and how much you feel like gambling.

A trial is just a trial at the end of the day, been here before. Yes it’s not Maersk but my point is that nothing is certain till they agree commercial terms. Up to that point it remains an educated gamble and anyone who says otherwise is either a ramper or deluded.

Patience involves recognising that timeframes are nearly always flexible and that when you’ve made an informed decision all you can actually do is wait for the outcome. Fair to say QFI have tested patience to breaking point many times.

Utah as planned could potentially be huge for QFI, however it will never deliver on short/medium term timescales. MSC and Morocco most certainly can which is why issues with Utah are neither a surprise or a major issue for company prospects.

MSC and Morocco are our commercial future in the immediate term and I’m pretty sure Utah will follow on after. The SP moving 1p either way is nothing, and in any case I’d expect the issue to be resolved fairly soon.

The testing lab (QRF), has features in several previous videos, this one differs only that it’s biomsar they’re producing.

Pre-commercial company and as such our facilities reflect that. If/when we go commercial and deal with many customers, Ive no doubt our facilities will be upgraded to reflect that status.

Good chance it will happen, so not a bad buy @5.3p. Many bought in the 30’s and 40’s with less going for us than now, so a very good risk/reward scenario methinks.

Off-topic conversations usually develop when there’s zero company news to discuss. Active projects have been talked over for months, comes a point there’s nowt more to say other than Groundhog Day discussion.
I have no personal interest in crypto currency, never got it and have no intention of spending time trying to do so. But if others enjoy passing the time a little off topic at times then I don’t see what harm it does during these periods. I don’t mind intelligent discussion on most topics, not so keen on drivel, but I can always ignore it.

It’s likely there will be many decades of carbon based fuels and biofuels before they’re phased out.
At the moment it seems the major players within the industry agree that the cheapest fuel option (harp) is no longer sustainable for the planet or their business and as such are willing to use much more expensive and less polluting fuel. If this consensus continues then there’s hope us and those who follow on.
