This share is very hard to make money on. The trend is viciously down and it has a large spread. SS has lied through his backside and there needs to be an FCA investigation....and yet all is not lost. Our dreams of a £1 party have vanished but 1.5p -2p is still possible with good news flow , positive cashflow and SS being banned from anymore dilution. A wise person would not "invest" more here but sell into spikes and just try to reduce their B/E. In the meantime do not listen to Tymers.

Mr Cautious, you missed the other type of person. They ramp incessantly whilst all the time selling. Whilst the share rises people think they are a good bloke. Then when it falls and they boast that they now have 25m shares that cost nothing you realise that they are simply 2 faced despicable walking 4 letter words profiting by deceit and profiting from the misery of others. Tymers is their commander in chief! Shares at all time low and not a word of apology.

Vista, a share price is also driven by sentiment and forecasts as opposed to actual production. So yes with the right news flow a 2p sp is possible in a 2 year period. But by the same token with SS at the helm (aka Billy no shares the great wealth destroyer) the SP could just as easily be 0.01p. When it was 0.5p I said I could see it at 1p or 0.2p sadly it was the latter.

Sham, it is your decision but personally I would recommend trading tranches of them to lower your B/E. The sp is volatile and actually if things went well 2p is doable over a 2 year period as long as SS doesn't keep diluting and buying things that he doesn't need. However, the trend is down and it is extremely high risk. Your B/E is far lower than pretty much any long term holder other than Tymers who cheats , lies and deceives.

Mattcarter well considered post. The RNS is poor since it shows that SS still has not learned a thing. He talks about spending to add to asset value. Sadly every time the pilchard raises finance the market capital of the company falls and so he does the opposite of what he intends. He needs to do precisely as you say. Slow down and create value from existing assets.

Well what a shock and precisely as predicted. Tymers had 50m stock, ramped it to death , sucked the fools in and then sold half at circa 0.4 -0.5. I have no issue with people making money but to do so by deceiving others and telling lies is just despicable.

Yes the commander in the chief of the ramp and sell is Tymers. Has a B/E under 0.3. Has ramped the whole time yet when he first posted the sp was circa 7p! Newbies beware.

Sadly the great wealth destroyer who owns no shares has decimated the sp so much that you buy a shed full of shares when you spend a modest sum. There is no institution that would touch this, currently just PI gamblers. When/if we see some decent production things may change. SS the most useless company leader I have seen from a shareholder perspective other than Fred the shred.

Hmm so Billy no shares still has not bought any but still gets his huge salary. Lloyd’s is good value under 50p so no one has missed the boat. We are at last PPI free and have a good Tier1 ratio. Rates will rise and the economy will recover. However, in the real world when someone is unemployed for 3 months or more it takes ages to recover. Spending does not normalise. Consumers have FOGO and most will not go on public transport or into enclosed places unless they feel safe. Factories in the Far East are opened but demand has tanked. 1st q corporate results did not reflect this. Analysts and algorithms need numbers but got scant few. In the world of the analyst the 50 and 200 day moving averages say shares are oversold based on historic data. Let’s see how things react when they witness corporate results impacted by falls in GDP higher than the Financial Crisis ( per the Chancellor). Am happy with my Lloyd’s holdings but incredulous at the computer driven programmes that have US markets moving towards all time highs whilst the consumer is absent.

Troll hunter I hate people on this board that tell lies 10-20% dilution since 3p.... Since when has 2.9bn shares to 8.6bn shares been 10-20%!!!! More like 300%. On dilution alone we should be at 1p then add in the SS factor and oil at under $40 and you can see why we are where we are. Hopefully oil will rise, unfortunately that great wealth destroyer SS refuses to resign although his incompetence fully merits being removed from office.

Slift, actually not useful at all. The ratings you gave were prior to the RNS regarding the RBL and prior to the recent sale. This company is not going to default and with a hedge in place for $57 is secure to rise out this virus. The broader market though has major issues . Lockdowns will end but a restricted consumer is an impaired consumer and corporate results will be awful especially if Trump starts a trade war with China.

Should be £16m since after all the efforts of SS and all the money raised the entire market cap is now £16m. If I ever met SS I would punch him for being so incompetent and being happy wasting our money whilst not investing himself and just smugly taking his bonuses. He paid a fortune for unproven potential using our money and death spiral funding.

Snige, agree with your logic except that we have a massive shortage of property thus any vacancies will be snapped up . Commercial property is a different matter!

Yes Snige but this is in the SP and some. You forget that vast swathes of the public are getting full pay including OAP’s and public sector workers. The Impact on the economy is very sector specific. Also the impact is time limited to vaccine production. Of course the sp can fall further but investors with an 18 month timeframe have a strong probability of doing very nicely from current levels.

Following on from my previous post it is a fact that financial misfortune always is cruelest to those who are the most vulnerable. I see the hospitality sector hit hardest with mass unemployment- restaurants, pubs, hotels. But who are their staff? A good proportion are lowly paid part timers and students. Awful for those people but many are unlikely to be home owners with mortgages. It follows that the impact on Lloyd’s would be less than a cursory glance would suggest. Before I get lots of negative posts I am aware that there will be bankruptcies and mortgage defaults and each case is in itself a tragedy. It is just that I feel that the impact on Lloyd’s will be less than feared.

Lloyd’s went in to this with a very strong balance sheet, paying a dividend ( now it will further boost the balance sheet) and an sp reduced due to PPI. PPI has ended. In the financial crisis banks were saved by stimulus. This has been done already. We know that the economy will normalise with a vaccine which will happen in 2021. What I hear is that many people can’t spend their income ( shops shut, holidays cancelled, working from home) . Furloughed staff actually saving money. So the question is will Lloyd’s survive 2020? Answer yes. Will they need to raise capital ? Answer unlikely. At sub 30p and taking an 18 month view this is a strong buy. I would be shocked not to be over 50p again by winter 2021 .
