Gold futures for December delivery gained 3.5% in the week ended Friday to settle at $1,508.50 on the Comex in New York.

Analysts from Goldman have a six-month gold forecast of $1,600, and Citi has said it will rise to that level in six to 12 months. Bank of America Merrill Lynch sees prices climbing to $2,000 within two years, topping the all-time record of $1,921.17 reached in the spot market in 2011.

Oldie, I cannot disagree that the delays have been at least an anchor and more likely negative. However, at the moment I know of at least a couple of regulars that have sold some here to go and play in BUR with the intention of coming back. I am hesitant to do likewise in what might be something of a hedge fund play area. Each to their own, but temptation and a nature to take risks can create things. I suspect playing in BUR might be a common game for a little bit.

Pete, in conversations with the management team I raise questions on processing. Having had some doings with process/ production I am familiar with ergonomics for the work force and also pant /‘machinery etc. I asked about downtime’s etc and the design production levels: I was told that contingencies and foreseeable failures as well as an allowance for unforeseen is built into the production rates. To support this the replaceable parts are warehoused on site, coded and supported with a ‘just in time’ contract for parts. When a processing plant ( of any kind) is designed flow rates from one part to another are well considered. They are mining production consultants in charge snd I (and others) have asked questions which they have given explained answers for. So in some respects they behave in some ways similarly to yourself. However, at some point we have to tryst the consultant- looking at the evidence and what I can see in relation to what was there, I do. The system cannot work without interlocking processes with matched flow rates. If you get the time, the visits are really good for getting perspective. ATB.

Pete. The lorry’s are 60 ton haul trucks. 1 ton is 1000kg, 0.1% would come out at 60 x 1 = 6 mtu and say $200 per mtu, that’s $1200 per truck load. Different ore concentrate or prices will give different numbers.

Imagine a company had a gold mine. Now if they had 500,000 oz, but the gold price were to double; then it’s worth more than double, cos the price of getting it out is the same but the selling it price increase is all profit. So it’s like yer got more than a million oz at whatever the current price is. Now if the gold price rises in a straight line, yer profit is more of an exponential increase. Imagine if yer had a gold mine with some, perhaps, juicy numbers to be announced. What if it was a million oz? What if the gold mine is just the side line, imagine yer got a tungsten mine with very low opec on the cusp of the cusp of starting. By the way chaser cant stop humming the song. I think it looooks best ever at the moment imho. Did I mention the gold? Oh yes I did......I gotta stop

Hbob, that would have to be given. If they are connecting up it would have to be from the distribution boards, and they can’t be in place without the supply. Well that’s the way I used to do it. Never known it without for that stage of connecting.

Definitely the best presentation so far. Factual and positive. I note MM stated; new concentrator could be producing August, but would say September in line with managing expectations’(sic). Made me laugh, we have noticed some weak spots on that, I reckon someone must have read STV ( and others) on that one. Great to see consideration towards investors too. It also banged down the ‘lack of focus’ whinging too. Wholly positive.

Torte, MM said at the AGM production figures would be produced Sept onwards, there would be stop start and configuration etc. However, the full figures for July-August- Sept would be available then.

I think it was DH that said the MCC was late and was not delivered earlier in July as was supposed to be. From the RNS, it is there now , but it seems he was correct. That was pretty intimate info he had there, gone very quiet since and now we get a positive RNS.
I note the mention of MM’s tie is again a cause for concern, again?

The RNS referring to the finance knocks the raised concern over a placing on the head.
It seems we is on the cusp of the cusp. In the world of herring fishers we would be just about to pull the nets in/ to see glistening fish for market.
Yet we have the concerned, looking for something to concern. We could get concerned over lots, such as the colour of the sky. However, imho we are de-risked beyond reasonably practicable and heading towards completely unconcerned.

Jaffaman, it says ‘in July’ and refers to previous guidance for the monthly production. So it is saying production for the month. What is noticeable is the high ratio of tin, very good if that continues.

NMH, superb buy in price at this stage of the game. You got a lucky star I reckon. I don’t expect much news until Sept, going by what I understood from the AGM. However, someone might be looking for bargains once the market dust has settled, that could pick us up considerably. Mind you gold news would be good news at this point.

Dreaming of, I would get more too if I had some dosh, but I dont because I bought them at higher than this- mind you lower as well. At the AGM, Itook it that there would not be a lot of happening in a July, assembly of concentrator, but not commissioning. My view is the big news starts September. The lack of gold news is not released yet: now although I was a bit tongue in cheek over this- if we get gold news now that would be impeccable timing- North of $1500........We are running at 6 months behind the big plan, but we really are on the start off large scale production at low cost.
