There is more info on this I recall so will pursue. No mention of Covid here of course or Lupus. But certain the US Mod were interested in both Lupus and Sepsis.

I seem to recall, somewhere Bobbler TYK 2 being effective and or used in the treatment of Sepsis. It is getting difficult to treat as becoming antibiotic resistant and once present in our blood stream usually proves fatal. I believe it was something the US military were in to as was one of the major causes of death after injury. I will have a search round later, see what I can find.

Yes, exactly Cobalt and they are not going to give you more than you need. What would be the gain in that? In relation to Covid 19 it is peanuts but the Tyk 2 targeted compounds are very late preclinical trials in their own right,

I think many cashed out after the release of the RNS, ie buy on rumour sell on news. 170k plus 60k odd for Sareum should cover lab testing. Tim being Tim would have gleaned all information from reports of how our immune systems are affected and would have a compound in mind, will require testing as per pre clinical requirements and may need tweaking a little, but, as the man has said himself 'what we are very good at is chemistry' .
Outside lab work does not come cheap.
I would hazard a guess that a potential partner/partners, if not already interested, will be in very close communications during this lab work period.
Should it prove successful then a partner would be required to manufacture sufficient quantities to cope with a pandemic. Not just UK but worldwide.
This presumes that their will not be already interested 3rd party's in the TYK2 compounds, which we know there are.
The grant would not have been awarded had there have been any doubt of a likely hood off success.
One more hurdle we have climbed!

The potential will never be realised by the short sighted Andy. There will be a few that want to take a profit now and I cannot blame them in anyway as after all it is their money.

My belief if 737 were released, that on its own, our market cap would be worth more than it is now. Aurora FLT, at least as much again.
Tyk without Covid, more than the aforementioned together. With possible effective, proven treatment of covid 19 many multitudes of above. Covid 19 is a virus and has effect on our immune systems. Tyk 2 inhibitors will if successful not only treat this virus but also derivatives of and as yet newly unidentified viruses with similar if not worse symptoms/outcomes. You sir, are certainly not a fool like many of the LTH here, I am beginning to think that the likes of Thoth2 ( I do not agree with everything he has to say) may be short calling at 28p per share. No disrespect to the man in any form and and very valuable contributor to the share chat, yet his predictions were pre Covid.
One day i hope we will all meet up, not necessarily wiser ( wisdom was buying when we invested at first, at whatever stage in our lives that we believed) but a lot richer.

One more thing, is that, has Sareum ever produced a compound with toxic side effects? Was always their paramount objective in the first place. No MTD established on aurora or FLT3, ie game on!

Good post Bas, I tend to look at Market Cap. Currently circa £50 million, Without Covid 19, TyK 2 1801 and 1802 are in late preclinical stages, must be worth minimum 300 million each up front. It is a vast market out there and as pharma's now having old comparatively ineffective drugs. they are on the look out for the next generation of inhibitors with decent worldwide patent rights. If found to be effective against Covid then will be multiples of this. My thoughts only. It will not happen overnight! Aurora and Chk1 also we await news. The clock ticks.

Thanks Philboro. All is not bad. Several irons in the fire. Just been contacted with regards to a position ( 1 of 4) at an establishment 1 mile away from my current place of work . MoD! Have current SC clearance, classified workers medical. CV went in yesterday. 12 months contract.

They cannot find suitably qualified and experienced people with SC clearance. SC clearance now from application to granting of taking a minimum of 8 months.

Situated near Thurso which is the tip of the Highlands ( look at over the sea and you can see the Orkneys).

Must be prepared to stay up here for entire duration of contract.

The 4 of us who finished on Wednesday were requested us to submit our CV. Closing date originally mid October. Only one company tendered ( no competition).

Job is to start ASAP but with Mod and current delays I would think a start at beginning of January which will do me fine.

Two other jobs one for Chalk River in Canada and the other at Barakah in UAE, Applications now being invited. Will get them in today.
Had the shares here too long to chuck them in for peanuts. Staying put!

Of course Ahfam after a grant award and should development prove favourable then the other interested parties/ government will want to know the availability.
It in my belief will come down to the cost of the development. Tim and Co would have submitted a ball park figure for a total quoted/estimated cost to bring it to a certain stage. Whether or not this involves additional funding from a pharma ( as Patrick Moore would say 'Well we just don't know')

What is the scope of the development ,ie how long will it take, is it safe to use and is it effective? How much can be produced and by when? Importantly trial sizes a few 10's or a few thousands. The latter will be extremely costly and beyond Sareums financial capability at present.
If it is found to be effective in the treatment of Covid-19 then it will be absolutely essential to have vast stocks available and as soon as possible.
There will be a lot of sensitive information on that application which we are not privileged to know.
I would hazard a guess that there is an interested party or parties that will be waiting on the confirmation of a grant and to seek initial indications as to the likely hood of success.
It is not a case of being given a grant of a few thousand pounds in the vain hope that something maybe useful, but several hundred thousands of pounds for something that is desperately needed and very soon.

It may work it may not. Big pharma's have been plugging first generation inhibitors that are not only proved ineffective, but also an appalling safety profile ( NDA black box warnings). Now Tim in his video stated his reasonings as to why other inhibitors were failing, This is where we believe our Tyk 2 JAK1 can work he says, as opposed to the competitors products. Tyk2 is second generation inhibitor.

Sareum have not made a product that has had severe side effects or been ineffective in its preclinical or early clinical stages. That speaks volumes in itself. CHK 1 is proving extremely favourable indicated by Sierra keeping grasp of it. Frustrating I know. Our Aurora FLT+3 was picked up by an unknown Chinese pharma for shirt buttons and a 900k milestone if the compound solubility issues can be resolved, or continuation of development. If Tim believes that our TYK2 has a good chance then I will put my money on him.
Covid-19 aside, the TYK2 molcules are an extremely valuable in their own right having no toxicology issues, reinforced by not being able to establish an MTD even with higher concentrations of the compound. Sareum now resorting to 'very high concentrations' of the compound in an effort to establish maximum tolerated dose.

These are my opinions and anyone like to counter them feel free.
As for a speculative guess for a grant 600k. Many on here more knowledgeable than myself to hazard a guess. I may well be wrong, a country mile out.

Off to bed now, look for a job in the morning as just had contract terminated due to the dreaded Covid-19.

Was not the Chinese flu supposed to be under control in China with almost no new cases? The figure of just over 83,000 recorded cases. 7 months down the line and no appreciable difference so why the heck would you have persons queuing up tp pay for an experiment vaccine? Chinese quite happy to use their own people as Guinea pigs.

I agree entirely cobalt. 50% pf people show no signs or symptoms. around 20% develop symptoms requiring hospital treatment. Around 10% of those 20% prove fatal. vaccines have a shelf life and what is the point of giving vaccinations to over 50% of the population if they show no signs?. How will some people react to the vaccine? Just because someone has the vaccine does not mean they cannot transmit it. Get this all resolved and then what happens when a particularly nasty strain rears its ugly head? Look after the vulnerable. I am of the firm belief that an immunotherapy of some sort is required either on its own or in conjunction with another treatment. More than one option must be made available.

Vaccines historically derived from the virus itself. In a sense may well be not, as we understand a vaccine. Remsdisivir is not a vaccine as such. It is a first generation inhibitor with NDA ' black box' warnings and a very poor safety profile. Gilead the owner making billions from it now, one of many big pharma companies jumping on the bandwagon to glean all they can to profit from the C-19 pandemic before it is well and truly shelved for good.
