Funny, don't feel any pressure to sell and take profits. Hanging onto ARB, might change my mind above 120p. Hanging onto AVCT, up 8.6% today. Hanging onto OPG but may sell them today, I have a 9%+ profit there. Decisions, decisions.....

T...ha, I haven't sold ARB yet, feeling too dozy to concentrate. Keeping an eye on it though....now if only there wasn't any stampy I would be probably trading it a bit more actively. You did OK to get back in at 108.

T...no snow here, worse luck. Also read that it was the supermarkets prompting the chancellor to level the retail playing field. They were talking about it earlier on R4 Today programme, either tax the onliners or modify business rates in someway...something they have tried to do for years without any success.

OH is a trekie (treky trekki?) and has been since Shatner was a boy. Consequently she dragged me to Star Trek conventions and they were fun. We even went to "Worldcon" science fiction convention in Brighton (1980?). Think it was the first time it had been held out of USA. Even got a personal guided tour of Paramount studios through contacts made at Star Trek conventions. Sat in Kirks seat on the bridge of the film set. Met lots of the actors, crew etc. Watched Red Drawf from the beginning, great funny. ("Purple alert, purple alert"). Just don't get me started on Sci-Fi.

T...I noticed you moonlighting on the ARB board. I liked that comment about the MMs being in competition and that it was possible to buy with one MM and sell at the same time at a profit with another MM! Certainly something iffy going on.

Interesting week for me, have several profitable positions open which I hope to close next week. My portfolio is down 4.9% this week would have been worse had it not been for the late slight rally in GGP.

O...I saw Leonard Cohen at the big chill a few years back (10?), didn't rain though. I think he was married to one of his backing singers at one time. This performance was when he had come out of "retirement" to earn a few bob after being ripped off by his manager? or accountant? Brilliant poet/singer with the "gift of a golden voice". Ha, you guys mentioning the A380!! Well I live in Devon and use the A380 a fair bit, south from Exeter to Torquay.
However, the Airbus A380..wonderful plane, quiet perhaps because relatively modern engines and where ever you sit you seem to be a long way from them. Quiet inspite of the number of people on board too....enough to make a home match at Accrington Stanley seem well supported! We travelled on one to LA from LHR, boarding was different, you went into a sort of round hallway groundside with about 5 loading ramp/corridors going up and down depending which deck of the plane you were alloted to.
The first time I saw an A380 was one summer in Brittany, they had just started flight trials and I watched it in the air, it was so big that it looked stationary. I remember the same illusion when jumbos first fly. That being that ones gets used to seeing planes fly over at height doing about 450 knots and the resulting movement, a bigger plane appears to be further away going slower. Does anyone understand this? I am explaining it badly.

I have a great interest in aircraft and worked at Redifon Flight Simulation for a few years before specialising in Radar Simulation.

T....Can't bring myself to buying a new car although I am missing not having a convertible. I used to enjoy driving in snow or all night with the roof down, even in rain...it's great as long as you don't stop. Maybe as the weather improves I will think again. Could do with a new laptop though. Another thing on my wish list is a new mobile phone. Very happy with the Moto G5 I have had for 3 years with one exception...it isn't capable of "wi-fi calling", esoteric? no, actually essential here where I live with no mobile phone signal. Two part authentication access to ii share dealing is forcing my hand here.

T...I have serious trouble opening my wallet for myself, well, for anything really. There is a nice bottle of Rioja ready and waiting for the 26th though. Yes, thought about not getting up but this could be a nice day on the market and I don't have self imposed pressure to sell anything.

O...yes really nice to have live test match cricket back on TV what time of day it happens. I like CEY, non stampy but I always worry about them being a one trick camel! Resisting like mad to take on any new shareholding as my resolution this year is to reduce.

I,m hoping to sell ASC at a bit of a profit today, buy back some IAG hopefully below 151 and may sell some SNG if they continue up above 180....well one can but hope. I will be watching for a spike on ARB too as Bitcoin was strong overnight.
