o...yes, got so annoyed watching AXS gong up day after day a month or so back that I bought some. Of course it immediately retraced 5% or so after never having more than the odd one or two percentage point set back. However I am now in a tiny amount of profit in them and very happy to see them under way again.
Have been thinking about fireproof building cladding a lot lately. I took an ealy bath, sorry, mean early profit on WJG as I was somewhat jumpy about what liability they might have to cladding replacements. (student accomodation builder, usually multistory).
Bought back ito AVCT after having sold yesterday. They are looking strong at the moment. I think the "covid" stocks are getting a bit of a boost from new covid variants and possible sideeffects with the Oxford vaccine reported in europe.
Also bought back into PFC after selling out yesterday , bit risky but still nursing yesterdays losses so taking a gamble. My usual rule when I stock falls due to bad news is to get out, leave it alone for at least 2 days then maybe reinvest. Still, rules are made to be broken aren't they?
Nik....yes, it's good here...and calm. I think because we are multi share and mutual supportive, we don't get angry with each other. I notice that you have just bought ARB, I have been trading them for about 8 weeks now. Your other shares of interest to you, avct, beg, etc are also sometimes discussed here. To return to your question, I recommend IG for its charting, information and low cost. ,£3 per trade if more than 3 trades per month. Welcome to the Brigadiers.
o....considering subscribing to Parsley Box IPO coming up soon. Home delivered packaged non frozen meals aimed at baby boomers. Although I am a bit worried that this last year sales have increased greatly as they sell 10 meals for £20 delivered (can't be too much profit in that). Fattening up for market comes to mind. Another, older player in this market is home delivery of frozen meals by Wiltshire Farm Foods. Was interested in investing years ago but it was a private company then.
Good morning Brigands.
I am here to tell you....remember Rule 9...don't panic.
My losses yesterday are having a detrimental effect on my decision making.
Yesterday I sold BT, to get the money out of them. Also sold some SNG to liberate funds in trading account to move to ISA. Also sold PFC to stop further losses, glad I did that. Also sold AVCT purely to take a profit to make me feel better, another bad trading error. Doh.
Sold Dunelm this morning as I think it will crash more the the 11p divi on thursday, its ex divi day.
Happy that ARB is holding it's own, Very happy to see some progress on PLUS at last.
Good luck all.
m...bit the bullet, sold BT, wiped out a THIRD of my profit this year. ARB making lots of noise about how they are going to power their new Texas mining operation with green energybut it's still a bad bad thing to be turning power into money....isn't it?
Good morning Brigands, another new week completely unwrecked as yet. It is week 11 according to my spreadsheet which doesn't lie, fake, fake spreadsheet.
Got some hard decisions to make. Want to move some money between accouts, can't decide just how to do it, what to sell etc, whatever I sell will be at an apparent loss so bang goes my target this week! Also, on the verge of exiting BT, another loss!! although the price at the moment is OK.
Decisions, decisions.
Also what the heck is happeig to ARB? It should be 280p+ in my view.
T...ARBKF at +5.4% and BTC holding near record high should be good for us for Monday.
O...looking at your profile, blimey, if you hold skin in most of those companies your posting in, then you have more shareholdings than me! I was looking at Begbies earlier, I hadn't heard of them...sounds like some kids candy store. Ha
Have a jolly weekend all, I feel exhausted, don't know why, I haven't done anything.
Having an evening off the wine so expect a blowout tomorrow!
V and C...I don't know if you have Netflix but there is another series of their "Formula 1 Drive to Survive" coming this week.
m...Breakfast sounds great, even at this hour, reminds me that I used to work for a couple of hours before breakfast to appreciate it more. There is an old saying "an hour before breakfast is like two after lunch".
For future reference, after I get frisky and excited, I love to be rubbed down with a fluffy towel too.
O...ha, you hero. Yes, when I applied for ARB shares with PrimaryBid I discovered the hard way that you can only actually do it on the APP, not that their website tells you that of course. The APP feels unfinished and has some interesting old fashioned quirks to it. Are you still watching SAga? I see they are down at 379, could this be their new floor? I haven't got the courage to find out yet.
T...Two things to point about about IG. Their customer service is lousy, they keep you for ever on hold on the phone and their online ChatBot doesn't ever get back to you. The other thing to note is they won't allow you to buy ARB shares, tarnished with their anti crypto policy. I think this will change however. It is forcing me to use my ordinary trading account with ii, and my profits have pushed me into a tax paying position, thank god for my CLLN losses, there, never thought I'd say that.
T...apologies, it's not possible to sell and buy into a different ISA and keep the tax sheltering of the first ISA. What was I thinking! You have to transfer frrom one to the other as you are already planning. Sorry, I'm not really this stupid.
T...I've done a trade on ASC, well, kind of.....a sell and a buy back.
Thinking about biting my BT bullet, selling and realising the loss. Doh!
Also, I sort of need to sell something in my ordinary trading account to raise cash in preparation for funding our ISAs.
So, debating also whether to sell SNG in my ordinary account and buy back in one of the ISA. I might even buy them in ISA before selling in ordinary account. My head is spinning.
