The shorts here are trying to close quickly and playing with the price to help sellers. I have great confidence that we are now in a strong recovery. The BoD regular buys since March is a good indicator IMO.

I believe this is a good set of results, given the current business climate. Speedy will bounce back solidly as soon as normality returns. Great reduction of net debt, both last year, and in the first 3 months of 2020/21 FY.

Would be nice. Had a nice run of top ups over the past week or so. Last one this morning. Now holding tight for £3 at least. Could come surprisingly quickly, especially if gold gets over $1,800.

I dont think you get this. Back in December there were other places to invest. The landscape has changed. Yes, the revenue this year will most likely be hit. But lots of other places to invest have been hit harder. Its all about relativity in the environment that you're in.

I see two brokers have raised their targets here. We could easily be trading over £30 by end 2020

In line with policy. Projected COVID impact of £400m, which is not that bad. I assume they will continue increasing dividends in line with policy this year as well.

I would double my not inconsiderable holding at your price! You have to compare value with the rest of the market AND other investment options. Profit only halved in the quarter, and I expect Q1 to show an improvement on that, and back to normal by Q2. Is a discount really likely? Personally I think not. It's only a hold from me and not a buy because of my holding here already. I'm now close to starting to add more.

It all depends on your belief in the resilience of the business. I think Q1 this year may not fully recover to last year, but the rest of the year we'll see record growth driven by companies playing catch up. The share price has basically stood still for at least 4 months, surely that's enough? We have still made a profit in the last quarter, and the company has grown.

Net debt down £11m in last 2 months is significant. Also shows revenue picking up after a poor April may, and could be back to normal by July. 17% of the workforce taken off furlough at the start of June. To me this all looks good. The bad bit was the finance director going, but the above is enough to give me confidence we will recover quickly.

Hardly mystic. Barclays trend up since mid March when we hit the bottom. FTSE futures now up to 1510 and rising. You are correct in the fact that markets rarely go up in a straight line. The trend is up and I believe we have a long way to go.

Well it closed up around .3% up on the open, and is another .3% up this evening on the futures. Pushing up slowly.

IG clients shorting the FTSE 100 reduced from 55% to 51% as we move higher. Some sanity returning to the markets at last. Hope those holding shorts here at the weekend have managed to close out without too much pain.

Interestingly my portfolio basket of 18 FTSE 100 share is up .8% today. These are mainly (not all) shares that I believe have been unfairly hit too hard since February. This "riskier" basket has outperformed the FTSE 100 on 8 days of the past 10, which shows a definite returning of confidence. The few of my shares that have lost today are the "safer" ones!
FTSE moving higher as confidence returns. I would not be at all surprised to see the FTSE over 8000 by year end. A bold call you may say. However, I think the market is moving towards accepting a higher PE for companies, as the alternative places to invest are limited.
