Surprise, surprise. RNS this morning! Shares were in tight supply yesterday. How high this will surge is anyone's guess. Deserves to be far higher once the debt sorted.

Most likely this rise is for real. Wish I'd topped up yesterday. They need to sort finances for Monday.

We may need to wait until they wake up over the pond. Yesterday the buying started soon after 12.

I also feel robbed, but cashed out at 2.99. Would I cash out at 2.92? I doubt it. I hope for the rest of my fellow holders that you get a decent offer. £3 right now is robbery. However, this is AIM....

I can't understand it either why this company is unloved. It's a cracking 7.5% yield right now, and still forecasting a profit growth this year. This is one of my core dividend shares.

Metals are generally down as the dollar has strengthened today. Gold is up in other currencies, but down in the $. Although the overall market has fallen, there is a strong sentiment on IG with 72% long on the FTSE.

Or pure speculation?

You can tell the people spreadbetting short on this from their comments. The position here looks resilient and solid, which is excellent given the crisis we are in. I will be buying regardless of where the shares go from here.

I would have thought this news was no worse than expected. Don't forget we didn't issue a final year divi, or an interim, so that is now being invested in the business. A tough year for all. I would also like some stupidly priced 70p shares. Can't see it happening though. Can't even see this dropping below £1. Who knows though, this fluctuates like any other share.

Gold at $3,000 an oz, say in 2 years time, should give a share price around £10. Tempting as it is to trade this, I see us as still undervalued by at least 20% based on gold at $1,900, and it would be so easy to miss the next leg up.

For instance gold at $1300, HGM £1.30, now gold at $1,900, HGM at £2.75. Work out what is a good or bad leverage to decide whether to buy or sell. Also factor in dollar / ruble exchange rate, and political climate, as well as a host of other minor factors.

Try comparing the gold price chart to the HGM share price chart. Extract and display together. Over the past 5 years you will find a strong correlation, and you can see the leverage.

This share tracks the price of gold with a 2 to 2.5 leverage. That is what gives me a my estimate of value. Personally I don't use set targets. My target is a moving one!

Given the gold price trend, and the price today, we should be trading around £3.50 IMO. Takes time to correct though.
