We are on track for record iodine production in 2020, iodine prices are still strong, and our debt has been refinanced and significantly reduced.

Just another view, but the reason why we didn't get a half year update from Tom is because he is intending to do one after excellent Q3 numbers. Just hoping!!

There have been some cheap shares on offer for a few weeks now. They will dry up soon, if not already, and a hefty rise is possible.

I've seen this trading pattern before, when a share seems to be kept down by a seller for no reason. If they really just wanted to sell they would logically let it rise closer to fair value before selling.
Would not be at all surprised to see a 20p share offer on the table soon, stuffing all long term holders.

There is definite value in the iodine business as they can spend the next year looking at optimising output and reducing costs. Those items alone would be good.
However, the real high value lies in the chemical division. The potential there could be huge if they hit on a fast growing niche market. CBD maybe wasn't it, although it could still be significant for us. More bread and butter growth will do us very nicely this year.
Very soon we won't believe we could have picked these shares up so cheaply. Seen the same scenario quite a few times.

False news generated by Trump's team or the Russians? LOL. Can't see any president trying to dismantle the oil industry. Maybe reduce new fracking permits, but the US needs oil and will do for many years. It would be political suicide to stop fracking completely and place them at the mercy of OPEC. Not to mention how the oil lobby would react, and they have a lot of power.
Interesting times. Uncertainty rules. The only certain thing is we'll need more cleaning products for a while yet.

Oh, should have mentioned I'm now back to just over half of the shares I owned previously, having reduced to a very small stake.

Yep, agree the CBD speculators are leaving/left. Happy to pick up some of their shares at this discount price. Compared to how this company was 4 years ago when I first invested, the difference is huge. Far lower debt and interest, production capacity up 50% (when IO8 pulls it's weight), iodine prices up 50%, and producing a decent profit instead of a loss.
Sure, in hindsight the BoD have pursued some did options, but some of the groundwork may still pay off in the future. Personally glad they are focussing on their core business. Perhaps the bank told them as much!
Not expecting fireworks in the share price very short term. It's an accumulate slowly and hold from me. I sold most of my holding on the CBD frenzy, but glad to be back accumulating in a core iodine business.

We also have Q3 production figures out in a couple of weeks. Should confirm the growing momentum here.

With finance sorted I'm happy to continue building on my stake here. H2 should be far better, with IO8 production being optimised. Anyway, we will see how the market reacts over the next few months.

Considering the COVID impact these and the shutting of IO8 for most of H1, these results are exceptional and far better than I expected.

Looks like a positive outcome. Would expect the market to also react positively.

You never know! Perhaps someone now has details of the new finance deal.

It's annoying that the BoD have set the dividend so low. 6% yield should be the target here. That puts the price at 40p which is ridiculous.
I don't want an extraordinary carrot. My last nice paying miner HGM just got bought out. Hoping SLP was a good replacement.

Can understand the fall, as it looks like they paid too much for SDL short term. However, longer term it looks like a great fit, and should be earnings enhancing. To me, the fall looks overcooked.

IMO we should see a steady upward pressure here for the next month. Don't expect huge volume, and as usual some will be trying to trade this. Probably still a few sellers taking profits from the cheap shares on offer over the last 2 months, but again as that was low volume we should clear those soon.

I waited as there was such a large spread, but have now done my first top up for today. Let's see how the day progresses.
