I agree the hedge funds are criminals, but they'll never be stopped. May as well use them to our advantage and pick up cheap shares. It will rerate soon.

The whole point of paying to be in Selkirk is, Iain will say this is an oven ready deal which they then pitch to investors and they will say, we are planning on getting private equity style returns from this investment.

This might be with THG, it might not be. The risk whilst being in THG currently, is that Selkirk choose a different PLC.

If it's THG, we will benefit immediately from value realisation from the deal, and further value creation down the line if Iain Mc and the team can turn around Nutritions fortunes.

OSG, I know your position on the Selkirk idea. That's fine, as you've said before, my money, my investment. Your scenario is possible, so is mine.

Time until Selkirk plan to make a bid is getting closer. Rewatched the presentation yesterday and it has to be Nutrition. Iain mentions £500m deal, THG retain 60% ownership, historic EBITDA £50m with plans to increase profitability and put their own management team in.

Nutrition has been underperforming, has a Micky Mouse CEO, has so much potential, and the deal is in a format that our lord and saviour Matthew Moulding can keep control.

Iain mentioned that Sir Terry has many contacts and will know the right people to put into senior roles. Sir Terry turned around Tesco remember.

No idea of legality stupmy, but don't be so naive to think that when this amount of money is involved, everyone is a fair player.

Yea interesting about the shorts, we know from the RNS's that Sidara are using CFDs currently. I suspect they have an arrangement with the shorts which says:

Hold down the price, we'll get a cheaper buyout and in return we'll close out your shorts after all is said and done.

Shorts represent a much smaller portion than the total that Sidara are trying to buy!

Governance is at best, a bit shady. So despite Selkirk having a minority interest stake, we all know that probably means they'll have more influence. Why? Iain Mc is besties with MM, no other reason.

Where do we think this settles if 90p bid turns out to be true? If the board accept it gets pretty close straight away??

From Sidara's point of view, what is the point in re-entering negotiations if they offer too low? Guess II's could be concerned at whether Wood can continue without help in managing its outgoings, so may be inclined to accept a low offer because, that will be better than debt for equity.

66p rumoured by FT sounds right for an initial bid, hopefully rising to 100p but no guarantees of that, given the deteriorating situation here.
