RE: Over the weekend28 Jun 2025 11:27
100notout, I would be part of the "anti-MM" crew. I have been relatively quiet recently more out of relief that I can start to see light at the end of this dark dark tunnel.
I didn't start off being anti-MM, in fact I believed that he would act in my interest and prove the short hedge funds wrong.
Unfortunately, Matt's actions and the weak board refusing to stand up to Matt has meant that Ingenuity was taken from RemainCo. £25m pre-dilutive valuation is criminal. The wordings in the demerger document tried to seriously discourage people taking up their share of Ingenuity. It was not made clear what the correct decision would be, and some people (including me) were not able to take their share of Ingenuity. How can I feel happy about that when Investor Relations did not help me whatsoever, despite Matt parading on linkedin that every small investor would be able to go with him to Ingenuity?
Add fuel to the fire, Matt posting about how hard he's found life, but posting pictures in his private jet and at the £50k a night suite at the Atlantis in Dubai. Meanwhile I, and others that I know have had to delay life plans because the valuation destruction was so severe. All of it seemed orchestrated as well which makes it hurt even more.
So forgive me for not being Matt's biggest fan.
I won't be selling as seeing the price rise and Matt rise from the ashes would hurt even more, plus I think Matt will leave when the share price recovers, which might not be that far away? His departure will be a huge positive catalyst so I will hang on until then, albeit probably reducing my exposure when we recover closer to 60-70p.
