RE: Dropping like a stone20 Jul 2018 16:23
Yes I do a mere 914 from years and years ago. To be honest haven't looked at share portfolio for years ( because of some bad investment decisions ) I have taken my whole 914 plus the extra 9140 I can but. Cost just under 2k.
I intend to just put them away and leave them. But, I might just be a bit more tempted to keep an eye on them more in the future. The deal specifically and the long term seem fine, because whether people take up their options or not the company get the money as its fully underwritten.
I am not saying there may not be a dip because it depends on the take up, but I believe a lot of the uncertainty is taken away once the refinancing is completed. Now, I am not suggesting that this can hit £3 or more again, as that will be totally unrealistic based on the extra shares in issue, but, if they get it right I can see it heading for maybe 50p within next couple of years. For me its worth the gamble as a lot of the uncertainty has been taken away. Mothercare products are still quality products what they need to ensure is that their suppliers are giving good deals and that they strengthen their online business. This could be quite a turnaround story.
Might have bought more shares if I had taken a bit more notice, but for a punt I am happy.
