Is it risky ?? Depends on who is doing it , but these corporations and brokers are normally looking to either buy a large chunk of shares or, offload shares. I have seen his happen for hours on end and it is easy to spot if you have L2 as there is normally just 1 trade waiting but as soon as that is done it is replaced with another. It is much, much easier when there are low volumes, and is often used by shorters who need to buy back shares and they want to buy them back at the cheapest possible price.

Prime example is years ago I think it was VW which was heavily shorted. There was a lot of money lost and won on that as I believe it was taken over and the shorters couldn't buy enough shares to cover their positions.

Definitely good news, our guarantee will reduce, we get the money we lent them back, we get $6m dollar guarantee fee and we can concentrate on getting the pox hub up and running.
