curlykev. I don't think it is being held down by marketmakers, personally, I feel that because of the shorters ( who have to buy at some point ) just loading the algos when volumes decrease. The volumes generally increase around TU time, then after the initial spurt, they get to work with their 100 and 200 trades and also stupid little small trades, which I feel disrupts the trading.
Of course I could be totally wrong, but the shorters have a vested interest in trying to keep the price as low as possible to buy in to close their positions as cheaply as possible. One thing is guaranteed. They wont lose out as they will have already made there money after so many false dawns.
