Because like you I believe it is massively undervalued. They have a state of the art plant , and a new export facility. My concern remains that they can only access 3-4000 mt ffb a month so it takes them 3 months to fill their storage facility for export., and without Bulaw their supply options are limited unless they can buy-in product in the local market. You know I have holdings in DKL, MPE, AEP and REA so I am convinced about the merits of palm oil.

Maybe we are looking at this from the wrong angle. If Sime Darby is selling up as losing money and PAL is not proceeding with Bulaw because it is uneconomic this will leave really just Golden Veroleum GVL as the biggest well known producer. GVL is part of Golden Agri which is controlled by the Widjaja family in Indonesia. Liberia produces approx 40000mt cpo a year. Indonesia produces over 40 million mt a year. Maybe the smaller shareholders in PAL are prepared sell out as it is beginning look as though Liberia is a tough place to make any money with CPO.

to see all the recent activity in PAL. Have been invested here since mid 2015. Why would KLK need to take us out ? They own us anyway. Also why would they really be interested in buying a CPO producer with an output of just 1000mt a month, at best ? Rgds

I bought more today at 2.55 and have now reduced my average to just under 5p. Way to go yet but headed in the right direction.

Cat. There is considerable pressure on Outtara, president of CI, to rethink the future of the French-backed CFA franc which has been pegged to the Euro since 1999. All the eight west African countries that use the CFA have to deposit half their foreign reserves in France and get just 0.75pct interest. Ouattara himself is in favour of keeping the system but a number of other heads of state want out as they feel it stops them devaluing to counter external problems. Macron due meet in Abidjan later this week. This may affect DKL cost and pricing in the future.

Nice buying Suhail. Pity LSE cannot identify the trades at 0.70 as sells and those close to 0.80 as buys. The person who achieved 0.75 in selling did very well indeed as my broker only a buyer at below this level and for a smaller amount. rgds

And I know FK1 is going to interpret the numbers and reckon that some are aware of the results before they are released and sell before perhaps buying back a little later.

Fk1. We have no way of knowing if there is a persistent seller out there but I hope its just somebody who bought in sub 2p who is just taking a profit.

Over 1 million bought at the 2.60 level and just one sale for 50000 at 2.40 as at 1530 today

of approaching 10 pct seems a bit overdone this morning. Maybe somebody just wanted out.
Anyhow my broker prepared buy from me at above this price for lots ranging 20,000-100,000

a trade early this morning. Was beginning wonder if the listing had been suspended as quite a while with no activity.
