I think enough information is already out there for the market to set the share price. From this will be worked out the placing price, depending upon demand.

The price set by the market during normal trading will determine the share price. Once signed up, participants of the placing won't be able to dictate the price.

Oiler you are talking out of your backside. You know nothing. DB puts genuine shareholders first. He wouldn't give Chrisoil the drippings off the end of his nose. You need to grow up mate, re-read the RNSs and listen to the interviews. It was obvious we would need further funding in line with RBD.

Isdeer, I believe (without going through recent interviews) that David Bramhill previously said funding was in place for the current work programme. The work programme has since been updated and increased, so further funding is needed which should take us through to disposal of West Newton. As I say, this is from memory.

The trouble is, Isdeer, that it isn't only Union Jack who have the information about what has been found to date at West Newton. Leaks can therefore come from a number of sources.
As far as laying everything out that has been found for shareholders is concerned, it can be very misleading to only provide part of the picture, so I don't think it would be very helpful. Also, the more the licence potential is explored, through further drilling etc., the higher the value when the licence is sold.

Maybe SunGod will appear and declare whether or not Steffi ever gives him inside information? Maybe she'll come on and say if she ever gets inside information earlier than the evening before the issue of an RNS?

Isdeer, that was a very good post, but the key point is wrong. David Bramhill DOES NOT LEAK. He certainly wouldn't leak to Chrisoil.
The problem is, as you rightly say, he has to go to the market to find brokers to participate. We all know some people get information about placings from brokers, then they use it to their advantage to sell their existing holding and/or make themselves 'look good' on their twitter pages. Of course that stinks, but David Bramhill is not involved in any of that crap.
As far as the timing of the placing is concerned, it should have been spot on. Monday's great RNS should have taken the sp nearer 0.3p, but the big seller pulled the rug from underneath it, and created a loss of confidence. The placing price would have been much higher otherwise. DB still has to progress the placing now that it is in the open, as failure to do so will suggest he couldn't get it away. That would look terrible.
