Nothing wrong with saying defending himself at all. I considered my choice of words carefully and although it would be correct to say one attacked on one defended there was an element of counter attack in the defence and I did not want to come across as supporting one side. There is far too much of that here already IMO.

You haven't missed out on anything useful. It was simply a poster attacking another and that poster counter attacking.
Admin were quite right to remove it as their rules state:
"While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate; rudeness, swearing, insulting posts, personal attacks, or posts which are invasive of another's privacy."
My only criticism would be that plenty of posts breach this rule but only certain ones get taken down.
Unfortunately, there are a a number here who are not prepared to consider others opinions. You and I have different views on what Covidity might be worth but we don't have to fall out over it :)

The last TD report put a value of 3.79p per share on Covidity.
Remember this is "risk adjusted" with 10% chance of success. So if it is successful that represents 37.9p per share.
It is also a "net present value" based on sales materialising in 2023. So if it comes earlier, possibly a tad higher - 45p.
TD based their estimate on $1B sales and a 15% royalty.

It is a rather sad indictment of the board that these sort of posts get the most recs rather than a sensible discussion of the pipeline and financial opportunities. I think the exception was when Burble joined the board with his indepth knowledge in this field and got in excess of 20 (can't remember the exact figure).
If your on a rec hunting mission these are the top posts to use.
Abuse of one faction of the board (get recs from the other faction)
Abuse of the other faction of the board (ditto in reverse)
Say "I think this will be 50p next week/£8 next year"
Who you are has a big influence on recs - Crumbs and I simultaneously made exactly the same point. He got 13 recs and I got 8!
Not that I'm bitter :)

I have admired your emotionally detached approach to investing, particularly here since many ARE emotionally attached. And why not? - suffering and death from cancer IS emotional.
Your seem to lack knowledge around Scancell, its past achievements, recognition, awards, results, patents and general standing in the scientific community.
To lump them in with 300 other "wanabees" is putting you at a disadvantage as far as investing here goes. I appreciate that in the time it takes to properly research Scancell, you could be in and out of ten other companies. Perhaps that is more profitable, certainly for you.
So I wish you well with your investments, especially here!
