I think so many are completely focused on the current Covid crisis that news on cancer treatment/trials may not attract the attention it deserves. The way I see it is that the short term news from Scancell will be around SCOV1, this will boost the SP. This will put Scancell right on the pharma radar so when SCIB and MODI go into clinic there will be a lot of interest.

Those are valid points. In which case we should be safe assuming these delays are behind us and it's now full speed ahead.

As suggested on the previous thread, Scancell may be ahead of the game in terms of producing a CD4 cytotoxic T cell vaccine. So the important questions now are:
Can this translate to clinical benefit?
If yes, Will Scancell be able to deliver this benefit?

Eight and a half years have elapsed since Moditope was announced. What’s taken so long?

It's a shame that a sensible discussion/debate of the science turns into a point scoring conflict.
Scancell have never been better placed to capitalise on their amazing science - 5 platforms ready to go, a Covid treatment in the middle of the worst pandemic for 100 years, fully funded with possibly more to come.

If we can just get away from the Scancell only mentality you will see that a lot of alternative therapies and research actually support the Scancell approach. So little to be gained by poo pooing everyone else.

For example, if you read the Sarah Gilbert paper, she comments on the almost negligible T-cell response achieved by Provenge yet it extended life expectancy by 4 months! What did prof Durrant say about the MODI t-cell response? "I've never seen anything so potent in my life". Wow.

Let's knock that wall down!

I've not made any claim. It is you making the claim and you that do not have evidence to back it up.
I'm afraid you have fallen into the trap of thinking lack of evidence is proof. It isn't. Lack of evidence COULD be because none exists or could be simply you haven't looked hard enough.
You obviously have detailed knowledge about what Scancell do (as many of us do) but limited awareness of what is going on in the wider world.
If you do some research you will find thousands of scientific research papers on cytotoxic CD4 T cells and the application to cancer and viruses going back many years. Our own professor Sarah Gilbert (Oxford vaccine lady) has papers published and holds several patents.
Open your mind and do some proper research. It may well be that we are ahead of the pack but out the moment NONE of us can possibly know for sure.

They may well be but that wasn't the statement. We don't know yet whether being leaders in cytotoxic CD4 t-cells will translate into clinical benefit and lead to us becoming world leaders in cancer immunotherapy or viral vaccines.
Mazda were world leaders in the rotary engine but they never won a formula one race as far as I know.
I'm not saying Scancell won't be, just that it is premature (and wrong) to say we are right now.

I think you need to be careful with claims that Scancell are the "world leader".
I think "one of the leaders in this field" or the "potential to become number one" would be more accurate.
We have some fantastic opportunities here, no need to undermine it with wild unsubstantiated claims.

Try and look at it logically and unemotionally. No shares goes up in a straight line. Even a share that rises over the long term does so through lots of rises and falls. We know there are certain triggers that will cause a rise (positive news, oversold) or fall (bad news, no news, CH presentation)
I think falls are probably easier to call so some may be vocal on these knowing they are unlikely to be far wrong. When people only make upward predictions in spite of the evidence to the contrary some may feel compelled to dispute.
So the issue is not purely people making downward predictions but equally people not accepting anything but upward movement.
This share is very predictable and has a very large potential upside long term. Use that fact to make money, not beat people over the head.

I make Covidity worth 56p / share based on $1B sales. If you allow for 10p already built in for covidity should take us to 46p/share. Don't forget the big money is in MODI1/SCIB2. So if we do get on the map for a Covid vaccine, what a platform to advertise our cancer treatments.

Yes, I believe so, I don't recall anyone saying passed clinical trials. Maybe "very soon" does mean very soon!
I suspect other papers will want to catch up on this story over the weekend. It ranks at least on a par with the groundbreaking Oxford work in the early stages of the pandemic.
