Yes, it would be much better if there were NO cross board posting. However, when people selective cherry pick posts it gives a very distorted impression IMO.

There are plenty of ridiculous posts from Inan over on ADVFN but if people want to read them I suggest they go over there and get the full picture.

It's a shame you only post selected extracts from Inan. Yesterday he was saying Scancell don't need any CEPI funding.
Anyway, glad he's finally come round to my way of thinking.

We did find SN15 was better than SN14 on the new variants so switching has to be the right decision.

Yes, your recollection is correct. LD's presentation at the AGM showed 5 variations of the bit that attacks the S protein and 3 that attack the N protein. (Hence 15 combinations 3x5). SN1-4 are not shown on the slide (don't know why).
The SN14 and SN15 have the same bit that attacks the N protein. It is the S part that has changed. So the effectiveness of the Scancell vaccine will be affected by virus mutations but to a lesser extent to vaccines that ONLY target the S spike.

Crumbs, I'm glad you used the term speculation as I would think and hope this is not the case. We have to believe that Scancell are the experts in this field. The thought of a third party coming in and effectively saying they have got it wrong does not inspire confidence.
I would say that Scancell themselves as part of their ongoing preclinical work discovered SN15 was more effective against some of the recent variants. What difference would it make to a p1 trial? Possibly not a lot, but if you can start the p1 trial without further delay with the version you intend to use in the p2/3 surely that is better.
I think the important thing to find out what it is about the new variants that make them more susceptible to SN15. I'm sure Scancell are on the case as we speak.

I don't think we should get over-excited about Scancell being mentioned by Name by CEPI. They have named other companies as well. They prefix the reference with "for example". So Scancell represent an approach that CEPI are keen to evaluate. They will now undergo a rigorous application, evaluation and selection process in order to decide who should be awarded what.
In these situations, it is not unusual for a company named as a "for example" to not make the final selection list. Sometimes it is the front runners that find the hurdles and are then overtaken by others who learn from the experiences.
I'm certainly not saying thes WILL be the case with Scancell but it is not. At this stage, a "foregone conclusion "

Could I just ask for clarification on something?
You often put in your posts "Holding strong here"
I noted last week you said it and the next day sold many hundreds of thousands of shares.
It may be helpful to the board if you explained what "holding strong" means.
For example does it mean you will retain at least 50% of your holding? More? Less?

Tree shaking? Pretty poor effort IMO. If they want to shake out weak sellers they just need to make the bid £1. That should shake a few out the tree.
