This BB is now once again turning into a theater of war and quite frankly there is no need for that. If you have a meaningful contribution to add to which is directly related to POLY or investment in general that would be helpful to all concerned.
We have listened and read a lot about the "goings on" in the dispute and nothing has changed it or is going to.
Lets get some sanity back on this board.

That seems to be the pattern i am afraid. We here very often that the Russians have withdrawn and the UKR has taken back territory and the next minute you hear that 85% of the Dombas is conquered by the very same Russians. It seems to me that either the reports are manipulated or someone in the army on both sides is very choosy as to what and whom to attack.

Folks. Lets get one thing clear. No nation no matter how well militarily equipped can supply arms to another one for a considerably long time. There has to be a point when someone has to point to the table and get both sides talking.
This has happened time and time again in the past and this scenario we have at the present is no exception.
With spiraling inflation and a recession looming in the west this is now even more at the forefront as a hot topic.
This doesn't mean that one side or the other has lost their ground . It will take a lot of courage and immense diplomacy to get the talks going.
As for the LTH members here this could be a turning point if common sense prevails.

It depends on your personal attitude to risk.
I don't think anyone can give you the right answer. YOU and only you can decide as to what to do here .
In over 15 yrs of investing I have taken other peoples opinions many times but it is only I myself that has made the final decision.
Under the present circumstances this stock (POG) is likely yo remain grossly undervalued for the immediate future in my opinion but for how long is anybody's guess.

Youy are right mate. There are more here interested in the next move VP or Zelensky makes than what is happening on market movements. I for one dont mindtalking about the geo-political crisis as long as its directly related to the POLY and other russian mining stocks in one way or another. The problem here is as soon as you remind members to get back to POLY and stocks in general they try and bring back the argument of the goings on in the war

Its all well and good if you are taking a loan for something you would have a definite gain on.
I think taking out a loan for this than putting in your spare cash is even more riskier given the situation we are in.
Not only do you pay the loan back from your pocket if something goes ***s up you pay the interest as well.
Its a double whammy in my opinion.

The mining sector and the housing sector is going to be hit the hardest if their is more signs that a hard recession is looming.that includes the likes of Glenmore bhp and rtz.
Apart from Russian mining stocks at the moment which are greatly undervalued I think its a bit risky

Nice to see Bulgaria doing the right thing. If we can get Hungary and Slovakia to take a stand than I think its "game up".
Though I think this will not happen overnight.

Totally agree. Its the same gibberish from many here thinking the UKR is the aggressor. Clearly they are not.
My concern is now the **it has hit the fan how do we turn this round. History tells us that no one side in the war has overwhelmingly defeated the other whether they are right or wrong. This without intense pressure put on both is not going to resolve itself.

Many if not most PI's here are investing here are LONG. I dont honestly believe that money has been chucked in here invested to expect the SP to bounce back quickly and start the journey north. Most nvestors knew full well this is going to be a slow and risky investment . Whle the company fundamentals remain strong and productivty is on target despite the war i remain confident that this will bear fruit .The war can only last so long . VP needs a face saving formula and a deal to quit.He will otherwise face defeat in the long run.Many have said here that this war will end quickly if there are no negotiations and that i think that is something I cannot see happening. I do not condon anything the russians are doing .
Only VP can sort this out but without mediation it will prolong and so will the outlook for POLY and others in the same situation

Yes Turkey tried and good try too.
But its time for the Heavy mob (US UK and G7) to try and pull out all the stops .This will need a change of heart but it will stop all the unnecessary deaths and misery and will pave the way for POLY and other russian based companies to improve thir stature.

I NEVER said the west as invading anywhere or anybody.I said the west should help mediate a peace agreement.
Just Like Turkey has tried to do. The difference would be the west has more negotiating muscle.
