Remember that the London Stock Exchange is shut on Thursday and Friday.

I’m in Barclays and am locked out of any trading in this share at the moment. I don’t know what other platforms are doing, but that will affect volume.
I also bet if you can trade some will be selling to test.

IMO I don’t think the publication of the TEO will make any material difference. the buyers will already have seen the detail and wit will have been feed into any negotiations.
As shareholders only a few will fully understand the details. I’m not a miner so will not understand. We’ve already been given the briefest of summaries by RNS. I would like to see the TEO made available, but, personally would appreciate a more detailed summary.

There are of course a number of elements which have come together to enable the offer to be presented to shareholders.

Firstly the willingness to listen to offers. I believe we’ve always had a big FOR SALE sign above our heads.

Secondly an entity willing to enter negotiations for a purchase.
Negotiating is a game for the talented. There are many ways to strike a deal. There is definitely an art in getting the right deal for all parties. A good deal for one may not be good for the other therefore not the right deal. This deal was good for the buyer but not the shareholders so not the right deal. Both parties should be equally happy for the right deal.
Looks like neither party has had the talent to negotiate the right deal.

Thirdly the legal side.
As the CEO of the company, RY, has his hand tied to some extent as to when negotiations are at an end and an offer is made. If that offer is of a fair value they are duty bound to ask the shareholders. The CEO may or may not agree personally with the offer but will have to take it to the shareholders and recommend it as directed by the board.

Fourthly us the shareholders can either accept or reject.
We in this instant have rejected.

The way forward is back to 1 or 2.

Any decent CEO would have a Plan B oven ready.
If he hasn’t then the owners (us) should have him removed.

All we can assume is that there must be a large amount of understandably angry people there having their say.
