The war or “SMO” has undoubtedly had an impact on the future of AMC.
However, we still have the asset, the metal in the ground has not moved, we still have the license to develop it.
So in the short term the company has to proceed as if there were no war in that they still need to prepare for the development of the asset.
Maybe in 6 months, a year or two, the situation will change and the future for AMC will be brighter. Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to wait multiple years as time will run out.
If as an investor you can wait, IMO, the prospect of a better value sale with better terms will emerge.
The RNS paints a fairly bleak picture, which reflects the current situation, and rightfully so. In the presentation of the offer to shareholders I believe RY should have been more open about why the offer was like it was. I don’t think it would have made any difference to the vote, but would have been beneficial. It would have allowed the shareholders to trust him a little. Now, what little trust he had has gone.
So what of the future, stick or twist?
