The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
That's the 64000 dollar question, or rather, hopefully, 64mn dollar question...
Sorry, I don't get the logic here..
I think, you've nailed it Kenny. They probably need the geophysical stuff to hone the drilling targets and depths etc.... Hence the slight delay, anyway in this Covid and festive infected time, who cares about a couple of weeks slippage... As long as it doesn't drag into months..
Yes it 100% is a great read. It looks like JK and Loflin are connected whe. You look at the 3D Diagram. I think I read that the JKL prospect is the one they are prioritising. I can now completely understand why. Current management belive that there are more "Hailes" lurking on our concessions. See D to me that initial drilling program will aim to fill in the gaps.
I like all that red and pink mineralisation in one of the geophysical diagrams. Its called "mineralisation". That sounds great, it there a geologist out there who can get me more excited than I already am?
Expect more buying today, wait for a close above 3.75p. Technical breakout would be confirmed..
LEX has made a huge consolidation flag since May when it ran up to 4.2/share. It has broken out and is, testing the high closes of that time, 3.5 to 3.6. Consolidation likely, but given the vastly increased volume, you would have to believe that this is a real breakout from the flag.
So where to from here? Simple swing analysis would indicate around 3.7pence upside from the recent low at 2.3pence. That takes us to 6.0pence. Look for a close of 3.7 or better to confirm the upside. Buy on weakness from current levels of 3.6, or for the more aggressive, just fill yer Wellington boots around here...
There are some really poor sellers out there, 1.2mn+ @ 3.00? Really? Spread 0.75pence. They are trying to milk it while they are short, but that's what happens when you have an e-broker account.. You are at the mercy of the MMs.
Anyway, more nice activity here, good 2 way trade. We just need a bit of news to keep the momentum moving and the stock in the spotlight.
Not quite what your reasoning is for your optimism. However, follow through buying evident this morning. Good sign. These small exploration and pharmaceuticals can turn flavour of the month in a heartbeat. There is a serious value proposition here, but if the ramping brigade decide to have a go, the sky's the limit.
Remember, 6 prospects, 1st world jurisdiction, underexplored, mine close by sold for C850mn in 2015 when gold price was way lower than now Vs £8.0mn market cap of LEX. Interesting proposition. Stay on the buy side. MMs are short.

Maybe the market is just beginning to realise with 4 properties and 6 prospects, and lots of history... This is a dirt cheap option on gold in an underexplored proven area in a first world jurisdiction. No need to worry about Bolivia, The Congo, or Zimbabwe... Let the drilling commence.
Interesting chat this. But seriously, if it looks like accumulation, feels like accumulation and sounds like it too, then the liklihood is that it IS accumulation. The issue is why? I personally don't think it takes a rocket scientist to work it out. The three largest holders of the stock ALL increasing their holdings? To quote Sherlock Holmes "There's something afoot dear Watson". Another way of putting it would be "a nod's as good as a wink to a blind donkey".
So they're hoovering up stock. The punter's dilemma in a case like this is pretty easy to see... Participate or not. I'd be buying now while stocks last. We're just waiting for some news to spark movement. Nealon and Co have been doing this very successfully for years... Follow the money.
Those bottom Fishers are still at it... Picked up 1.45mn this morning... Looking forward to seeing an announcement soon...
So a 500k buy went through late this, morning. Assume usual suspects, Pure Ice, Greenwood are involved. Or maybe the mysterious Chiaratanasen? They must know, something(s) that we don't. All will be revealed. In the meantime, fill yer boots!!!! Someone's accumulating.
You could be right, however, I'd probably be prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, its not just one prospect, its 6. The non execs have been around the blocks too. I'm prepared to trust their judgement. Let's wait for the news in the New Year...
I remember seeing someone opining recently that they thought LEX management here may wish to go the whole hog and after discovering what we all hope will be the mother of all gold mines, then go on to dilute shareholders by going into mining rather than proving a reserve up and moving onto the next prospect, of which we have 6 on 4 properties. I think that if you look at the histories of the senior management here, Nealon, Olivier and Sturgess as the independent director, they have a record of discovering things and selling on.
Mr. Olivier in particular in his last two videos has stressed the parallel with the Haile mine and how Romarco sold it to Oceana Gold for C$850mn or so. That doesn't sound to me like a team who are desperate to mine at all costs. The fact is that a small and nimble outfit like Lexington can do what RTZ and Broken Hill do for a twentieth the price as they do not have the same overhead structure. They can react and think on their feet without having to deal with a massive bureaucracy!!!!!
Time will reveal all, but I reckon that the expected January announcement about Geophysical studies that have already taken place, will guide the drill program Olivier referred to and we will be off to the races. These guys are looking to add value short term and the best way to do that is to prove up reserves. They'll be a drilling, drilling and drilling; proving proving and a proving..... History is always the best guide to the future. Also, Greenwood and Pure Ice are on the prowl, adding to their positions. Do they look like miners? They are investors and they will want to cash out. Mining is not the fastest way to cash out.
Well well, so now, a second major shareholder has been adding to their stake. Anyone with half a brain should be able to work out what's going on here. I just wish I knew what I presume Mr. Greenwood knows, which is, obviously, something that wants to make, him increase his stake again.
I think earlier in the year someone, was speculating that he lived in Thailand. Interesting to see that one of the big new shareholders, Chiaratanasen, is a very Thai name. Looks like the Asian influence is being brought to bear on this one.. Follow the money, Fill yer boots.
It will, already be a 10,bagger by then.. Too late... But that is your right.
I personally think you will regret selling in the 3s pre suspension. This is the most amazing geared gold option in the world possibly, in a civilised jurisdiction. Buy back while you can.. The insiders are buying, Pure Ice etc..
Yes, so they are processing the results of the heli opter flyover and want to do some, fixed wing stuff. The advances in the technology in this area recently is amazing. That will come in the New Year. It will provide drilling targets too. If you look at the admission document you will see in the Jennings Pioneer section that there's been lots of activity there and mining as recently as 1995 as mentioned earlier..
It's all being narrowed down guys. If you'll excuse the pun, this stock's a gold mine...
Re the announcement today. Barite Hill is suspected to be part of a volcanic Massive sulphide. That's in the prospectus. Question is how big. I'm going to do research. But I don't think they'd be mentioning this if it wasn't important. They were still mining barite hill when it was closed in 1995 due to the bankruptcy of its parent.. Let's get the buying boots on..
I took out 2 X 250k this morning around 11.20 direct fm MMs. And they show as Sells? Apparently because they are South of the mid point in the current idiotic spread of 2.5 to 3.0p. So I bought
As an end user and it shows as a sell. This is a farce.
Anyway we are mopping up the pressure. Reasonable volume today. Good sign.
