All views are welcome Munpip. Glad to see you're still here for the ride. Re the old management hanging around, OK, tanzanite one wasn't the greatest success, but this is a hit and miss business. The likes of Nealon, Sturgess and Olivier have all has their successes over the last 3 decades. Let them get on with it.
I'm looking forward to the drilling results... 5 to 6 weeks tops... Hopefully...
Oh yes, and 3. The idiotic spread of 25%. MMs are short and they don't want to get further into the hole...
There are 2 reasons this stock is not moving. 1. MMs, 2. MMs.
Small house in the city.
MMs are hoping, by keeping the spread wide to 1. Discourage trade by making it "expensive" to buy. And 2. They hope to get cheap stock off retail investors who have accounts with electronic brokers that offer low commissions but no service. You try selling through one of those and you'll be licky get better than 3.3p/share..if you have a real broker, you pay bigger commission but you get proper executions. I bought at 3.6 yesterday when the offer was 4.3. An electronic broker simply could not do that.
As to MMs being short, MMs do not have to report being short. They can offer stock for sale that they borrow from share custodians for free. They do this especially in AIM stocks they think are going to be delisted like Lexington last year. The were betting that an asset would not be injected into the cash shell and that the company would go broke.
So MMs have responded to the announcment typically when they are short by widening the spread on the upside, moving the offer from 3.80 to 4p. You could drive a bus through this spread, 0.70p. Disgraceful. Heaven knows where the stock's going if they have to cover...
This thing is primed, it'll take a little nudge and we're off... Enjoy the ride.
Glad to see you have the courage to act on your convictions. I'm sure we'll see an announcement soon re activity on the Loflin site as per the rece t twitter Post... .. Its overdue to say the least. We've got the Gnomes Of Bangkok accumulating Like crazy, not to mention the fact that the management team have successfully worked together on multiple projects over the last 2 and a half decades. They would not have reversed these assets into a cash shell if they had no idea what they were doing. Your mate at HL has done you a favour. Anyone who reads this can do themselves favour by picking up more stock. Once the drilling starts, the speculation will begin... The days of consolidation below 4p/share will be gone.
Time to buy.... Put up or shut up etc. ad infinitum.
Likely, though looks like rebooked. See the, date. Last week.
Just noticed there's a twitter feed on the website and they have just put up a video of the historic drilling and where the 6 new holes are going. Looks to me like they are infilling and looking to create an announceable resource... Go to the website, www.lexingtongold.co.uk
We're moving forward people. Suppose we'll get a date soon for drill commencement...
You'll be seeing some of the placement stock coming out at these levels. It will take some mopping up, but it'll be worth it. Just need a close above 3 9 to open up move to 6.5p. Bring it on!!
And also, just to think, we are not just talking about 1 prospect here, at Lexington we've got 5, yes FIVE to get out teeth into over the next couple of years... Exciting times to say the least.
Well someone else seems to be in the know about what's going on here. Pity more aren't putting their money where their mouth is. Why are we getting continuous TR1s from major shareholders? Or are the public totally dumb? If this is not the most sexy gold exploration play pretty much on the planet, then, I'm a Dutch man... Wait till the drilling program is announced...
The big 1.2mn trade was a cross.... Not real, nobody dumped 1.2mn shares.. I'm reliably informed by my steadfast broker..
Why people aren't buying the hell out of this stock beats me... Someone should be telling the Reddit brigade. At least the idiots wouldn't be buying bankrupt companies.
It's actually the Market maker system. The problem is that the spreads can be outrageous, but the idea is that they provide liquidity in stocks that maybe intrinsically illiquid... It should be quite easy to change the definition of buy vs sell to reflect WHO SOLD OR BOUGHT from or to rhe market maker. That would be far more sensible.
Because there is a huge spread between the bid and offer of the MMs. Anything below half way in the spread is recorded as a sell, anything above half way, a buy. I have been buying in the last few days and neatly every trade showed as a sell..
Ridiculous, but true. By the way, if its in the middle, it says "unknown". It's that anal.
Could be either Boracic. But really, who cares. They are buying, then we've got the gnomes of Bangkok lurking too. This is all stacking up nicely. Patience... That's the name of the game..
Yes, a bit of drift for a couple of weeks likely. However we should note that infill as they say is, precisely that. They are confirming the old results from the last drilling campaign.. Note that these holes indicate GOLD LYING ON THE SURFACE!! Easy to extract. Infill will be designed to drill areas where they want to prove that the deposit it continuous. They will also be moving the boundaries out a bit too. The idea here, by the looks of it, is to be able to announce the first JORC conformable reserve. If that happens, it should set the stock price alive.
We may, in the meantime get announcements as to the geophysics of some of the projects too perhaps before results from the drilling are known... We are moving into a critical period now. For those with an appetite for risk, this is the time to be kicking up stock.
The MMs have widened their spread again, and used the news to to tick the stock down. They are short and want to rip as much away from owners as they can. Don't let them.. The smart money will be buyers here.
The MMs are completely off the wall here, so desperate are they to get them selves out of their shorts. They are actually driving the quote down, despite the fact that there were 2.5mn shares or more trading on the buy side at 3.5 or slightly less
Every picture tells a story. If the big buy wasn't the Gnomes of Bangkok, maybe we've got a big new player entering the stage. If that's true, either way, the MMs will have their work cut out. Hahaha! Serves the self serving fools right!!!
Just got called by my broker. The spread on LEX was already pretty ridiculous at 3.2 bid at 4.0. He told me it's gone to 3.0 bid at 4.0.
The only possible explanation for this is that the MMs are up to their eyeballs short and hoping to rip off unsuspecting sellers picking up cheap stock along the way. Well it didn't work at 3.2, why it should work at 3.0, I have no idea.
So here we are approaching the weekend, we know that an announcement re commencement of drilling is about to be made because the CEO recently said it would be, and the stock is holding steady as a rock, consolidating nicely from a technical standpoint.
I know what I'd be doing here, and am doing, patiently picking up what I can below 3.50. Fortune favours the bold...
