Guys please read the RNS very carefully and then read it again!
1) How many patients have been treated so far with VAL201 and at what dose?
2) What exactly is this 'substantial amendment' to the trial protocol?
3) What exactly does this mean?:- 'The company is developing further protocols to 'evaluate a range of defined therapeutic approaches that are to be tested against each other, to determine the most effective approach' , 'These protocols will be the precursor to seeking approval to conduct trials ' - is this not another way of saying starting over?
4) What precisely is this evidence of the compound's positive effect in reducing the progress of prostate cancer and in how many patients has that been seen? Is it tumour shrinkage? Increased survival?
This trial has been ongoing for nearly 5 years - where are the data, the hard facts, the figures and numbers? How can such a long RNS tell us so little? Essentially it seems to be saying that it's back to the drawing board with further evaluation required before they can even come up with the correct protocol for a new trial.
