By legal definition the shareholders own the company and elect a board of directors to manage the company on the shareholders behalf and have a fiduciary duty to run it responsibly for the interests of the shareholders.

If the shareholders disagree or are not happy with the BOD or a member their in , then with a majority vote can have the BOD or any member of the BOD replaced.

uncanny - Anyone that can form a group or have the backing of other shareholders that holds enough shares will have alot of clout and influence. Don't underestimate the power of activist investors.

Well, chap I occasionally post that other companies bb and have admitted openly that I am not impressed VAL's management. I get a few people that disagree with me and a few that do. but I don't get into arguments with every single person on there that has an opposing view and bicker all day long trying to argue that My view is the one and only supreme view above all others. I wasn't going to reply to you as it is just clogging the board up with personal stuff, but you really need to wind your neck in, it's just ruining the board. A cock will crow once in the morning to make sure it is heard (annoying but it can't help it) but you seem to do it all day long !
