Stach - You should know by now that the share price is irrelevant when valuing a company. You have to value it by the Market Cap.

The shares in issue have doubled since the shareprice was 7p, so to get to the same valuation as when it was 7p, we would now only need to get to 3.5p to be valued the same, and incidentally to get the company back to the same valuation as when it hit 70p, we would now only need about 4p due to the constant dilution.

In Ftse 100 and 250 stocks that would be correct - the buys and sells are directly matched i.e a buyer for every seller.

However on AIM there are 3 parties to every trade. The seller sells to the market maker, the market maker adjusts the price and may hold the shares for 1 minute or 1 month and will then sell to the buyer at their own discretionary rate.
