I guess we all know a negative test result could mean

1. You are not infected today
2. You are infected but it is early and there isn't enough virus in saliva to pick up
3. You are infected but test failed to pick it up (user error, test parameters etc)

By testing at day 0 (lets say Friday) and again on day 3 (Monday) you reduce the impact of both false negatives. Isolating and testing gives you a opportunity to pick up cases early. I suspect any discussion around airports will require more than one test. Using bar code on stick and a simple app tuned to recognise result will enable remote reporting although still open to abuse - that said if I had it I would want to know.

If your type 3 fail rate is 10% by doing 2 tests you reduce it to 1%. A third test on day 7 reduces it to 0.33%

There is a potential that if you do the test wrong once you be do it the same way and get it wrong again. However, how hard can dribbling on a stick be.

I believe companies will instigate this testing approach -so two tests a week timed for maximum effect.

It allows for testing at a lower LOD than pcr and will still be cheaper.

The last set of results had a number of exceptions which should drop out on the next set.
