Absolute madness.
This time two weeks ago I was in Audi teeside about to treat myself to a nice new sq5, this week I’m tightening my belt and the car is on hold,and It’s on hold until we are back at £20, any free cash is on stand by to buy more here anywhere sub 1600.

Absolutely they have done nothing,totally agree .I’m not so much talking about the virus it’s self, that can’t be contained now.Cancelling all flights to isolate ourselves would have been the obvious first steps to take weeks ago.
My point is the media coverage on the impact on oil precisely because of what your saying, there has been no attempts to stop spread in any country’s other than China (and I’m not sure I beleive their numbers either) so where is this global consumption decline coming from with flights,trade, and travel still full steam ahead? Once it’s to late, it’s to late and as I’ve said numerous times there’s no point in lockdowns then.

In which way? I agree we are as manipulated as any other country by media, but I feel this is massively blown up, I wouldn’t say it’s being played down.

Life should continue largely as normal, the plan states. Confirmed cases are being treated in five specialist isolation units, but this will shortly be expanded to 19 hospitals. People who show symptoms after visiting countries badly hit by the virus will be asked to isolate themselves for two weeks.

So flights continue as usual and people will be “asked” to isolate themselves.

Like General said if it’s beyong control worldwide then everything runs as usual and global consumption goes back to near enough what it was pre outbreak(probably higher when rig counts are down and bankruptcy’s up) the oil price will only be held down for the short term imo, hopefully just long enough to get us a bargain.

It would be nice to think with opec willing to cut dramatically that $50 oil is the lowest it will go and virus is now fully priced in.
Hopefully China can keep reducing numbers providing a bit of positivity, if they can contain it you would think we should be able to!

I’m not getting excited about the oil price at these levels but by my calcs we are still getting around $55 a barrel for our cargo so still a $200m a year company. This is an outrageous oppertunity for new investors to get in here. I’ve added a small amount more this morning.

Absolutely sasa, not worried at all here. I’ll be surprised if we don’t come out the other side double/treble the size.

Sit tight soberman, we’ve all taken a pasting this week and it hurts. Just imagine if AA announced on Monday we had bought a company that is producing 21kboepd ready to ramp up to nearly 30 a year later,oh and it has £270M in cash but we bought we only gave £350M for it? Would we all not be running around screaming deal of the century? Yep, and that’s why we should never accept anything less than £28-30 per share minimum.

I agree the risk Is still there,but I honestly don’t buy all this scarmongering by the media,it’s a flu virus! The world is not coming to an end, people will carry on as normal as it can’t be contained now.

To me this has been over exaggerated for many countries as a get out of jail free card to blame growth on, so yes I do think there will be a global slow down to some point but nothing as catastrophic as what the media are suggesting and nothing that rockrose can’t prosper in.

You sit it out then mate, don’t try and scare nervous investors out for your own gain of a cheaper entry price, an RTO and 6 month suspension could come at any time, this will recover, you might be ok with losing out on that but don’t panic others into a loss.
