Well we've all sat by and let them destroy a load of viable businesses-or did i miss the referendum? And the consequential indirect deaths are likely to be more than covid..
To be fair there are plenty of precedents already-if you are going to a yellow fever zone you get checked for the jab. If you don't want it you don't go...
Travel might be optional but then where do you draw a line internally? I mean if I owned a factory, which have been exposed to mass out breaks, and my livelihood depended on it staying open , am I going to want all of my workforce jabbed? Too right I am.

What is that then? Its not the actual prices at the time? Surely that's the correct chart... The fact that most of the charts only base themselves on the consolidation and not the dilution means they are meaningless.
The pre covid HYVE price was about 100 say. That's 300 and a bit in new money. Bearing in mind they've had a year with no income, I think 300 next summer is a bit optimistic bearing in mind they'll be lucky to be even having some of their global shows by the summer. But im sure theyll get there but I think itll take a while.

I would have said 675, but seeing recently what Halfords did on some in-covid good news that may be conservative if Banbury Boys 2 criteria come in and there is a good financial update allowing people to forward forecast then who knows....
If the negative goodwill goes then there should be very decent profit.

I would dearly love youre price next summer to be right mate...
But look at Halfords-knocked down to 50p in the March -bounced to 275 because they sold a load of bikes to people who were supposed to be working from home...
Now that isn't us but there is huge pent up demand for travel. My point being that rapid change can happen given a reason and we have a few here.

If you take away the negative goodwill of recent times in the accounts, that alone will send it higher than that. To me the BoD will have kitchen-sinked that last time around, why wouldn't they? If you are a holder I think youll be in a better place by next summer....

Banbury Boy, no need to go there. Your posts have been a step forward on this board. Especially bearing in mind so much of SAGAs price decline has arisen through "negative goodwill" which none of us understand if we're honest.
Purely by chance I was trying to buy some HYVE in that timeframe today and failed because it was in auction. I then sold some Codemasters in that timeframe and then still unable to buy my HYVE checked in on SAGA and it was also in auction. Normally this would be between 1630 and 1635, so yes slightly unusual, not that in this occasion anything dramatic happened to the close price. The normal SETS auction is 1630-1635 ie after close.

I don't attribute any part of the current/recent price to the previous FD.
As the rather dry Ron Dennis CEO of McLaren as was told a bunch of journalists "We make history-you just write about it".
That's my experience of FDs in 36 years of heavy civil engineering. They write it up.
The key in a listed business is that they manage the City. As I (think) I posted a while back, the city wanted a head and that's it. Others have left the business so were not there to swing for it.
The key is contract profitability-what follows that is a lot easier..

Yeah am not saying it wont rise, I have no doubt of that. Construction is really operating relatively normally, and clients are beginning to green light new major schemes. No issue there.

Surely 130p was prior to the issue of the raise? So for equivalent market caps that would be now around 75p?
I still hold a few from the summer, and was running the rule over a few neglected areas of my portfolio and was considering coming back heavier but am I missing something re pre covid MCap vs now? Or is there something that could lead to a large increase over the previous?

I'm relaxed about her CV. I used to have an FD who freely admitted he knew little about construction-but he then asked killer questions at my monthly mauling. He wasn't interested in the Project Managers' book of excuses, only what had been promised...She isn't going to make the profit, just shepherd it once its in. Lets hope the funds like her.That will have an effect.

Going private at 440 sound plausible based on last 12 months range.. Unfortunately.
I believe that in 12-18 months this would be worth a lot more and so does anyone who pays the 440 I guess. We will have no say anyway as ever so enjoy the ride until it stops!
