Petera, its currently a whole 2p less than the last time you posted, and 67p odd above the time before that when you were bemoaning it at 203.....not sure what you're trying to say? My screen is mainly red today and I suspect so are most peoples.

Buy some more to average down a bit-that might help :)

I remain in and bullish. I have 2 quid on my sheet. I think it will take regular updates with no bad news and evidence of large schemes coming back. And then a divi again. Its a matter of just re-establishing confidence I think.

We are maybe due a Yr end TU soon, which may provide enough to give us a lift..

The market for the larger schemes remains difficult either with investor confidence or BSR issues. London is dead. "Worse than financial crisis" was the mantra at the concrete farmers lunch last week.

Hopefully the robust demand for BTR and PBSA can allow us to rebuild aside from that!

Yeah its interesting-I don't think we have ever had clarity re how the deal works and who does what and gets what? FY will tell us obliquely I guess?

Saga mentioned in a short piece in the Business section. Ageas have now also bought Esure (and its sub brands) which makes it the 3rd largest in the UK. The CEO makes the point that the UK is price comparison driven as opposed to its home Belgium where customers tend to stay for life. Says they will find a fair balance on price and other factors. It will be interesting...I don't recognise the construction figures you see showing slight growth. The London market is in an awful space with RC firms and demo drastically dropping in turnover. So there's a drop there for plant hire, and then the RC stuff that started say 18 months ago will have been finished so some hire there but I would have thought that plant hire for the next 18 months is gonna look grim.

Monty-all true. May be just me but I read the use of the Joint Venture to be a potentially new way of freeing up some of these schemes in pipeline. If the finance can be unlocked then we will be on our way a bit quicker imho. GL

That left 1.28m shares to buy back. Late reported buy 1.2m buy at 274 now on the trades after hours. They may be out, we will know Monday.

He does mention a 3rd Ocean ship as a teasy maybe maybe, but yes also a further River Cruise ship is due (next?) year....

Rupans-they repeated the reduce debt mantra a lot in the presentation but kept referencing the chart slide which ended at 2x in 29/30 (after the divi resumption question). I don't think anyone would slate them at 2x reinstating it and as previous I think its more like 27/28 to get to 2x. But we shall see. The long suffering Institutions will want something back as soon as is sensible.

Not necessarily-if you look at the history at COST, they had a Emirates investor who took a large stake at the rights issue. They ended up getting rid of the lot in a placing, never divulged via TR1 who took them and it had no effect on the share price which kept climbing. I see the same here but I think he'll wait a bit longer personally...
