RE: US close, nos etc..5 Sep 2024 10:26
Morning John,
I've made a habit of reading your 'digests' in the morning, many thanks!
I've been holding MSI for donkey's, like yourself. Investor relations have improved the last few years, but frankly they were non-existent before. It's frustrating when you read about contracts in the trade press first (such as the recent one with the German Navy) and then they are only disclosed in half or full-year reports. The only things we get an RNS for outside those two statutory ones were the ones with the US navy last year (which were simultaneously disclosed on the US Defence contracts daily register).
I'm very optimistic long term here though, and might be tempted to buying some more if we creep lower. They've been recruiting heavily this year (have a look at the jobs listing on their website) and have been hammering the trade shows/exhibitions all year. Currently in Jordan, according to Linkedin:
"Visit us at Hall 7 - 709 (Outdoor) to explore MSI-DS TERRAHAWK PALADIN, our flagship shortrange, mobile, deployable, airdefence system supporting the Royal Jordanian Air Force".
Can we assume that the Jordanian Airforce are the first customers of Paladin, referred to as an 'overseas customer' in Dec 2022 market release? Or is this a separate customer? Who knows. Their Linkedin states that they're continuing their development with Thales to have their missiles on MSI's gun turrets.
Let's see what news we get in H/Y report at Christmas.
