Cheers, Pharmall, I'll give BPM a look.
Yes, sorry, your point was about international defence spending more broadly, to which MSi is well exposed.
I think I internalised the 'time in the market. not timing the market' mantra off my old man. In fairness, it has served me well (not wanting to sound too smug/boastful, but I'm early 40s, mortgage free and semi-retired with a private income, almost entirely as a result of investing in stocks for the last 20-odd years). However, I've come to realise that I should make more of an effort in managing positions, as I have a tendency to just let things run and not book some partial profit. Mostly just a laissez-faire attitude, as I've never looked at a chart in my life and I'm not a daily market-checker.
On the topic of tips/ideas more broadly, that's an area where I struggle with a bit more nowadays. Don't have any professional finance/investment experience, but I used to mix socially much more with people who do, hence I was much more exposed to suggestions. I have a very quiet, almost hermit-like life these days, so I'm left to filtering message boards and Investors Chronicle for ideas! Still get the occasional tip from a mate in the City, who has a mixed record: tipped Fevertree at £2.70 15 yrs ago, which I absolutely cleaned up on, but some absolute rotters as well (google Advanced Energy and weep!).
Roger.
