Only sorry I've not been involved. Concentration has been on Aminex where they are expecting a minimum 17mmscfd from their operators two week well test planned to start this weekend, end of March.

Looks like the herd has arrived at Angs. At time of writing they are 18% up on their clean up and flow rates reported at 4mmscfd.

Question is, how might we read across to the reaction of a herd arrival here in the next couple weeks if as expected we get our own results of 17mmscfd or more?

"The well flowed at 2.1 mmscfd shortly after start up and flow rates have increased over the last 60 hours to 4 mmscfd with a near constant 30 barg wellhead pressure. The rate of increase has been linear and there is, as yet, no deviation in that rate of increase''

So based on that current reaction there, I would hope and think it fair to expect to see an even bigger impact on the sp here or at least equivalent! Especially as it should come at a time when new ISA money is entering the system.

That same reaction here would put us into 1.3 to 1.5 territory and that is just one inflection point. With next drill location announcement also expected.
From an impact point of view, I would prefer for Santos to provide the news separately a week apart.

People saying things from a keyboard that they would not say face to face are words of cowards, so lets cut the cr*p and when we do make our fortunes we drink together and celebrate without dishing out black eyes, because some of the personal attacks quite frankly in many pubs in the country would get exactly that reaction.

I wonder sometimes if that is the reason for such attacks. Wind them up to say something nasty then get them banned for doing so? Bang and another positive poster is put out of the way of upsetting the day traders games.

Following that big sell earlier in the week, things are moving in the right direction.
Will we or won't we be given a beginning of month update on Monday or Tuesday? We know the potential is there with the two operational events occuring in March.
Also with the news ISAs opening up next week demand will often push up the price.

Haggis you could be right that stuff does get recycled PDQ. In fact some mens urinals used to have notices asking people not throw in their nub ends as in interferes with the recycling process.

Easy does it JT, it was just another of his attempts to extract the urine.

Aimster the only thing I'm willing to clarify is these are my own conclusions from the research I have done. I am fully aware of the official line on He1/Nobal and the rig requirement differences as I am invested there too, but I do look wider afield for the effects of the drill market.

As said and admit, I am speculating based on logic applied to my research findings. I may be totally wrong, but at this stage, I feel I am pretty close. If I feel confident enough nearer the time, I will name the rig, but at this stage as ever, patience is required and in this industry things change rapidly, so no pont painting a target on my back for Apache arrows. If it comes true and it is announced before I let you know, then I will point you to a place that I have previously already stated my beliefs.

BTW, enjoyed that link you shared last night about the bashers. Surprising how many on this board over the years can be easily seen within it it. :D

PS although I'm fairly confident you are a swing trader here, and you do have your bashing moments, I don't really class you amongst them and of course I may be wrong either way lol

Haggis as the 3D data is not fully completed any new total TCF figures are unlikely to be revealed, although perhaps it is possible as you say, we could hear of new figures on the specific Ch1 targeted lobe. An upgrade there would surely provide a boost to the SP, but I won't hold my breath on that. Target confirmation will be good enough news for me.

Exactly C.Perkin on the test results, I dont expect those until end of April.
On the other hand the seismic data would have been complete enough by mid March to enable them to study and decipher the geology enabling them to make the call on the CH1 location so there is some potential for news on that. I say potential, because we do not know how long it will take the geologist to decipher that data.
Other potentials include rig selected and contract discussions ongoing although IMHO I believe the rig is already chosen, I also believe I know which drill it is and approximately when it will be released. Time will tell if I'm right, but if so it will be mobilised end of August and spud will take place early October. It would be nice for us to have a rig contract confirmed now though!
My thoughts are logically based on studying recent events and what is currently happening in and around Africa.
Of course that could be 2+2 making 5 or even 3 but investing is afterall, all about speculation.

First Sod of Pipeline construction - Staff and contractors hired, funded by government, imminent start to accept first gas in October.
Conection to Mdimba Plant - first gas October
CH2, 3, 4 etc that comes with the planned FFD that follows as a result of the Farm-Out - The programme for futher drilling has not changed to our knowledge.

Only one failure there I see. It has took longer than expected, but honest people know why without being told. Perhaps he has a longer outlook than mystic Meg.
