Come on man, the big sales may well have been the reason for dragging the price down, but as said, it turned today, that's not rose tinted, its fact. It finished at 1.12 don't you know, approximately 25% up on your sale.

"ARA Petroleum Tanzania Limited (The Acquiring Firm) a company incorporated in Tanzania intends to acquire certain interest in Ndovu Resources Limited (The Target Firm), a company incorporated in Tanzania. The Acquiring Firm engages in exploration and production of oil and gas. It is an affiliate of ARA Petroleum LLC, a company incorporated in Oman. It is charged with exploring, appraising and developing the Ruvuma license and its gas discovery. The Target Firm is also engaging in exploration and production of oil and gas. It is owned by Aminex Plc, a company registered in Ireland. Currently, the target firm has 75% interest in the rights granted to it under the Ruvuma 2 Production Sharing Agreement, a contract signed on year 2005 between Government of Tanzania, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and the Ndovu Resources Limited."

Note 2005 PSA. Need to dive deeper and see if I can find a copy of that document. I know Tanzania had proposed new model PSA agreement during the last presidents reign, so I'll check that out when I can.
Also there maybe something in the farmout circular, but all three are large long winded legal documents :(

The question is, which is fact and which is fiction. Who to trust and who not too? As an investor, not a trader, I am the only one here on any BB to be trusted, which is why I trust my own research over that of others. Words from others only make me research further.
Although none of us get it right all the time, I think we would all be better off by trusting the "ME" in ourselves rather than listening to some out there who are only too happy to take money from impatient hands.

As Aminex holds 25% it could be expected any gain or liability would be pro rata.
As for TPDC taking a share, they made it clear they had no interest in taking what they could have when the Scirrocco deal was put together.
My conclusion is that by them funding the pipeline they will get the gas at a cheaper rate, this more than offsetting the need for risk in funding drilling costs and back paying exploration costs.
To me, once again this shows the TPDC is confident enough over the amount of gas found, to be expecting itself to be commercially better off this way.

Blubay. Agree entirely. Identifying the rig last time was just plain stupid and showed incompetence at worst and naivety at best.
Not only that, but it will have sucked investors in only to trap them.
Whether we got played financially by those within Invictus, it certainly opened up the opportunity for them to do so.
Although DM wasn't the one revealing it, as CEO he was the one responsible for it being released in the RNS so the buck stops with him.
It would be unforgivable to repeat that performance, so I don't want another MOU, I prefer to be patient and wait for them have a sign sealed delivered contract before it being announced

I'm not so sure it's as specious as you make out Crusty. There are a lot of nervous people out there at the moment and that's understandable after 2008. If it affects one index surely it's logical to think it might affect all.

Tbh, right now I think AEX sp is just being affected by its usual group of speculative rinse and repeaters who have taking advantage of the recent rise.

@Triple, yes a multi drill back to back plan with a similar extendable options to what Invictus had would be good as I see it too. In the event of no discovery, at least that way there would be another immediate chance rather than having to wait a further two years for another pop at it.

And the words passed on were "expected" to drill. Some seem to think that is misleading and a lie if it doesn't happen.

I would say it is an inability to understand what they read if that's how they feel about it. I take it as it is described in a dictionary, a hope or an anticipation. In the case of Santos, as you say Bullfrog the expectation was based on the current information supplied at that time.

Aimster 3p to me now would be as good as 10p back then but let's not lower our ambitions ;)
