Market price is not everything crusty. It has dropped over the years because of the past which has been nothing but delays and negative events most of which, I'd argue, beyond the companies control.

Now the company has a positive outlook with the backing and go-ahead required, the SP will surely climb stage by stage as milestones are achieved in the coming months and years to fulfil the promise the field development has.

If you didn't believe that, it would make you look rather foolish to be sat here with the millions of shares that you hold tied up in something that you believe is poorly placed and in a worse state than when you first came on board.

Unless I'm missing something the directors were taking £200k worth of shares gratis so just how much in fees to whoever, have been paid out of £6.04m to end up with just £4.77 net?

Crusty, two points.

1. You clearly despise positivity and you continually attack haggis, so just what are the facts according to you?

Is Aex not in a better place now than it has ever been? Granted there are negatives but the power and finances are in place for an FFD and as was said by the previous CEO, going it alone would have meant years if not decades of drill and raises for it to get anywhere. Tbh that would only benefit short term traders and be of little use to lths like me. So to me it depends which side of the fence we sit and from my side of the fence yes it's a fact because I have much better chance of seeing the profit I seek within a reasonable time scale rather than an if, when, maybe never that we were in pre farm out, which I know upset you at the time. Again granted, it's taken time to make things move, but it seems this year will finally be the year we've been waiting for.

2. Telegram can be a bit of an echo chamber and it can have its disagreements, but when ever I look in, there is discussion going on about the way forwards and far less looking backwards. That to me makes it a better place of learning about what can or might be achieved and how it might be done. I know what has happened in the past, I invested in it, but any profits I make now, do not lay in the past.

In my view, optimism is welcome and pessimism is not, that is not to say we should ignore negative aspects, in fact we should explore the what 'ifs' of both and if that Telegram echo chamber is a place for a bit of peace from the rinse and repeater pessimists who offer nothing else to conversation in this, what is predominantly a negative echo chamber, then good luck to those who seek solace away from it.

People don't feel threatened or intimidated by bb bullies over there, hence the number of active users is much higher which in turn brings a greater range of knowledge.

Off on a personal tangent, but I have always found the faster I go, the more alert I am, where as tootling along a motorway at 50 my mind has too much time on its hands, leading to lack of concentration on the driving and higher risk of drifting off to sleep.

Having passed my test 50 years ago this year, much above 50 back then in some older vehicles and you would be hanging on for grim death, but today you could do 150 steering with one finger. It was noticeable with a false sense of security introduced first by seat belts and then by crash zones and handling performance etc that more were using that extra speed.

Now retired, if I sit around doing nothing, I nod off, but when active and interested, I can keep going all day without feeling fatigued. I wonder how many feel this way?

The moral being when bored, the less alert we are likely to be and so back to that question, should we be placing so much future reliance on all forms if AI just because we can?

Skittish bids maybe in by month end but from experience getting it through the government will take noble much longer than you expect. FYI, I take full responsibility for my investment decisions, however whether you agree or not, it remains my strong opinion that the Bod should also take full responsibility and equally take losses along with the investors, which is why I call it a share snatch!

As I said, we all start from different positions on this, but imo the bod are being rewarded for failure!

Although it is not something I have given much thought too in recent years, I'm inclined to think the logic of Crusty's argument is correct. At this time, I see no reason the iis would get involved for anything other than a quick buck. However, if they applied a longer term view of the companies cash rich position in the next couple of years and were aware of its future plans on diversification, Killiwani etc etc, then they might just consider the possibility. For that reason I wouldn't rule it out completely.
