Not sure about days @Dai. That sounds optimistic. Do we know exactly what rig is being used yet? If so, I haven't seen it, but it would be helpful as guide to the set up and inspection time required. Saying that, I still believe they shouldn't release that info until contract is signed.

LW agreed, Qtr 2 is a three month spread and imo the rig will need to be mobilised by the end of June in order to meet the Qtr3 drill target. Lorna has said around six weeks to be transported, but it will need to be erected run and safety checked before spud can take place so assuming that takes another month that would only leave a three week window. The two month short rains begin October through to December.

I can't agree with that Dai. Isn't it enough to be told the rig is in a yard in Tunisia undergoing a service? Do we really need to know the exact location, post code and telephone number of that yard? I dont believe that is being hidden from us at all.

Friday Debate! I was discussing the accounts being due last night and we were speculating whether they would come today or next Tuesday.

They are not actually due untill the weekend and it is still early so they could come later, but our thoughts were that releasing today would be an opportunity to bury news over the bank holiday about any further delays to the expected newsflow.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't turn up at the end of the day as our speculation was that a release on Monday would be more likely to be positive which maybe completely wrong.

I suppose it all depends on Charlie's way of thinking? After close today could be used to bury any bad news giving folk three days to settle down, but it could also be used in a positive to build up anticipation over the weekend.

In his shoes, assuming he only wants to see positive upward movement in favour of shareholders, how would you handle dishing out bad, or good news alongside those accounts? When would you release in each case?

CoCo I disagree on your first comment as if Invictus had released that Xhalo Rig there was every likelihood of the drill being Spudded Jan maybe February. It just wasn't to be and was out of his control, though I've said many times he screwed up allowing the rig name to be slipped out in the RNS. For that he wasn't the only one that should have been shown the door IMO. Chairman and the author both have sight before release

LW. I expect it to trigger some reaction, because I would think the rig contract will follow PDQ. On that basis, imo it provides two trigger points. At least I think it would if they don't put it out in one RNS.
