All the information, needed up to date has already been provided. For now, a couple of tweeted minor information photographs/posts before spud date confirmation is about all anybody should expect..

We are now within two weeks of expected spud date and we were told at last com that all is on schedule. This is a time for excitement, not worrying about news that would have no impact.

I have all the time in world to look after my investments and guard against shysters which is why I keep my eye on posters doing flip flops. Said last week it was not likely to happen before next weekend at earliest. There was still the day shift crew to train and and the LLI to be checked off and organised in place.

I wonder sometimes whether it us just naïve wishful thinking or the experienced setting it up for disappointment and talking it down.

For the logic: Look at the promises, timings and events that took place around the two companies from November last year onwards. It is a jigsaw puzzle that slots in nicely.

Of course I maybe wrong, but you will remember a question was raised about ordering long lead items meaning they already knew the rig?

It was confirmed that getting equipment in country is not an easy process and rig availability was short, so in light of events mentioned above, my view is they took the decision to wait for this particular rig and I have held that view since February.

If I were a gambling man I'd put a tenner each way on it 😜

There will therefore be a four month appraisal opportunity between December and March. If they have planned for success I feel they would have laid a hard top from the main road to the well site, or at least that would have been in my plan.

Gog. Just to be absolutely clear the normal rains are highly unlikely to disrupt drilling. If they were to have an effect it would be transportation between the two sites, but there is plenty of time to get that achieved before the shirt rain season is due at end of October to early December.

I'm currently tracking a rig I believe will be the one we will use. It is currently undergoing HS testing and spuds imminently two weeks late atm.

If this does prove to be the rig its TD is 3700mtrs so we will be looking at December imo and possibly early Jan assuming no well issues. If I'm wrong and a different rig in lined up, then it could be earlier. The reality is, I'm guessing based on logic and none of us know for certain.

This year is what the Sultan said and was very confident. He had promised his boss so it appears his job may be on the line if not.
