...that Matthew Fowler sold a large chunk of his shares just before GDR went into a closed period before publishing 6 monthly results. If he had any inkling - and of course he would have - of things going seriously north then I guess he would have waited until after he'd left and cashed in his shares then. Also the fact that no Directors have bought any more shares since the enforced purchase at the last raise makes me a bit twitchy too.

So wary here but trying to stay positive.

It was reacted to a fair bit on here so i think if it was fake someone from Walbrook or GDR would have put the fire out wouldn't they? It was a fairly impactful bit of news suggesting the company would not be on the receiving end of a nice cheque for nearly $3m. Perhaps the very fact that it didn't have any impact on the sp means no one took it that seriously.

If it's still in play then that can only be great to add in to the mix for GDR.

Someone found the US DoD budget statement and I think approx $2.8m for Genedrive equipment was stated as being near the end of March. Anyone shed further light on it please?

my mistake, not the company secretary but a lady at Walbrook (Anna something...?). It was fairly categoric that Mountain Horse should be considered as highly unlikely to come to anything. It was only last week I think but I can't be bothered to wade through pages of posts to find it. Sorry. No reason to think it wasn't genuine. I can't imagine GDR would have let that bit of social media misinformation go were the contract actually being signed and sealed any day now.

not wishing to pour cold water on this nissan but....a big part of that RNS was the Mountain Horse contract. We've now been told by the Company Secretary - although not directly but in an email to an investor - that this is highly unlikely ot happen as Mountain Horse have not been in touch for months and if it were to go ahead then they would have to have been in touch this month as the date set for them to cough up was I believe this month!

What is good though is the amount of cash GDR has going forward. I just hope that Budd hired some good people to look after the commercialisation of the products as that's clearly not his forte. In fact I don't know what his forte is as he's not responsible for the creation of the products either but hey ho, we must look to the positive side of things when there is one.

1) news of more distribution agreements in EU and ME for Covid POC kit
2) news of some sales in Spain. Portugal, Oman and UAE of Covid POC kit
3) news of roll out to more NHS Trusts of AIHL machines.
4) more news on the interest from US, Australia and Netherlands and any other countries in the AIHL machines.
5) CTDA for UK

Not expecting anything more on the US DoD contract or the potential contract from an Eastern European country for GDR's Covid tests.

With the potential for good news on AIHL global interest what I don't see is the sp tanking irrespective of disappointing sales figures for Covid equipment. No one is banking on sales figures so I think that's already priced in to the sp. Just my view.

I don't believe Budd will make the same mistake Guy. I also think he may have had his knuckles wrapped by the NOMAD for being overly positive with verbal statements ( US DoD deal which wasn't yet confirmed and the Eastern European country for low tens of £ millions which also wasn't yet in the bag) made without their prior knowledge just before the last presentation. that had the sp rocketing to silly levels. He then had to come clean and tell investors those deals were in fact not confirmed and that there were no sales of the Covid kit and that it was too expensive for the Indian market. It was all very odd. He was uber positive on many fronts and then went into speedy reverse on absolutely everything. You'll recall my posts at the time thinking there must be something behind it and that maybe Budd had been cornered into lining up GDR for a cheap takeover. This time he'll have everything lined up he wants to say and it will be positive I'm sure. The AIHL news - and potential - on its own should have GDR flying very soon.

I'm not expecting good results tomorrow but think that's why the sp is dipping right now. With one tiny bit of positive news that's a surprise to us the sp could easily be on the up very quickly. It's happened time and again here and I've no reason to think it's not going to happen again.

Agreed that we'll be very much up by the end of the week regardless of what transpires tomorrow.

He must know he has to attract further investment so won't be unprepared

I don't think Budd would have arranged this presentation unless he was confident of having something positive to say. If it was all bad news, or no news, then why not just release the results up to the end of 2021 and keep quiet until there is something concrete to say.

My gut is he's know for ages that AIHL will do well and that he can back up positive statements with NICE guidance and the recent publication of the PALOH study. If AIHL gets rolled out to all NHS Trusts in the UK and then the EU we're looking at £35m revenue over the next year or perhaps two years. That's without anything from the US, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East or indeed the RoW. I'm amazed people are getting hung up on the Covid POC kit. No Governments need it for now and it was only ever going to be sales to the likes of the UK govt that sent the sp soaring up to £1.50. That was of course before we knew the UK Govt weren't interested in supporting British Diagnostic companies and would much rather line the pockets of a few mates with deals on an enormous scale for poor quality testing kit from China. If there's no roll out on a national basis anywhere for the Covid equipment than sales figures will be immaterial imv.

It's all about AIHL for now and with NICE guidance being published imminently - this will basically tell the world whether or not to buy GDR's gear - I think this could hit 50p by the end of the week. Shameless and baseless ramping? Don't think so. I've been here for nearly 3 years and think GDR is in its strongest position since I first bought in.

AIHL to be used in hospitals as ‘routine care’ . That means all hospitals will have this kit. I daren’t look to see how many hospitals there are with neonatal clinics in the UK alone but if the bigger ones require 4 machines each then, to quote DBudd ‘the numbers add up dramatically’. Ok he was talking about something else when he used that phrase but who cares. The numbers are eye-watering.

I still think this is just the start for these machines though as they’ll be used for more and more patients requiring many other antibiotics and drugs. It’s just the beginning of a long steady climb… pounds not pence imv

...imv is a bit of a steal with next week's news so close. At some point this will hit 40p next week I feel, maybe not for very long but it will at some point tip the scales at that level. PALOH study release said they would be releasing more news this week. Today is Friday so they only have another few hours....

Can't blame people for selling after the roller coaster ride GDR has had these last two years but I'd say it's risky being out owing to just how quickly it can shoot up. I've seen it time and again so am definitely not ruling another meteoric rise either today or Monday.

Would be great if GDR could get something in the Sunday Papers about either AIHL or their Covid POC kit to highlight the potential of their wares. It seems a shame that the US market will most likely spot and then make the most of the potential here.

oh I had it in my mind NICE report was 29th and investor presentation and results were on March 31st. My mistake.

Either way, the AIHL prospects on the back of what we know is going to be a hugely positive NICE report will be amazing.
This is just the start for this GDR product. Genomic sequencing is the way forward for all individual medical application. Everyone will be given a quick test before decisions are made on which medicines to administer. It's the start of a new ear in health care and GDR has no competition for its machine. At some point I can see the AIHL kit being adapted and used for cancer treatments too. The possibilities are endless.

Why the sp is not already well into the 30s is a mystery as I really believed once we had the PALOH study published it would fly. We've not only had that but there is more news to come from the study and we've been told there is already significant interest from the US, Australia and the Netherlands. We didn't know about any of that originally so this can only be taken as good news.

CTDA most likely not due until May owing to back logs in getting tests approved.

The investor presentation will focus on the future. All such things do. If there was anything to shout about from the last 6 months we’d know about it already. Past 12 months have not been good for sales, we’re fairly sure about that. That’s why the sp was recently as pow as 11p. Now DB has got something really exciting to tell us about in AIHL. Some sales projections wouldn’t go amiss either, especially if really bold!

The potential for AIHL machines is truly huge. Global. Just two hospitals in Manchester are making good use of them right now, preventing newborns from living with deafness. Imagine how many machines will be need across the UK, EU, US, the ME and ROW. If DB doesn’t paint a glowing picture for the future of GDR with this under his belt then he really, really must be pushed out. I think he’ll deliver though now, it’s backed up by too much serious medical research and genuine interest from several countries not to succeed and take GDR into a new & different phase in its existence. Be bold DB, be bold!

Covid POC is a trick up GDR’s sleeve and may yet have its day but now it’s AIHL that we’r quite rightly is going to make GDR soar.

The one I’m most excited about is AIHl as that’s all backed up by PALOH study recently published with news of NICE Guidance also due to be published in the next few days.

As for interim results from past 6 months (or y/e 2021) most are expecting almost nothing.

He couldn't surely?! They've known about this for years as the agreement was made in 2020 and the machines have been built and 6 are already in use in two different hospitals in Manchester.

i agree it's odd that GDR don't appear keen to even advertise their own Covid POC products and that's one of the reasons I used to think GDR was being set up by Budd for a takeover on the cheap. However, the fact he's hired in a couple of people to try and sell their wares makes me think perhaps I was wrong about that.

How many Boarding Schools are there in the UK? Surely a few of them would be keen to have these available, especially with lots of students flying in from abroad...

The key to the UK Govt changing its tune on testing is if the NHS can cope with the numbers of admissions. As soon as that reaches a tipping point the Govt have to go back to square one and begin placing restrictions on movement once again.

If GDR's equipment suddenly became in demand I think a lower price would definitely help accelerate potential sales for obvious reasons but GDR themselves need to make more effort in letting people know about it. A sale is a sale and it's specifically where GDR falls down time and again. No point in having great products if you have no clue how to wave them under the noses of any potential customers. GDR need everyone to be talking about their 7min PCR test and then perhaps even local Councils might purchase them for hospitals, care homes and schools. Maybe David Budd has taken his eye off the ball with this in focusing so much on AIHL at the moment.

March 31st will be a make or break day - for me as well as GDR. I've now got over 1m shares in this company so need it to come good soon!

Had another buy 20400 @ 24.48p which I'm happy to see has gone down as a buy. Lots of volume today but the mms don't appear interested in making much of a market to get excited about.

Personally feel the Covid POC kit is now obsolete in that we've been told we're going to have to learn to live with Covid amongst us. I've just been in 3 different European countries over the last week and none of them had any restrictions of any kind, in restaurants, hotels, trains buses or airports. Unless a new and really nasty variant crops up somewhere I think no one will buy this kit. GDR is now all about AIHL. Thankfully, our AIHL kit has no competitors, will be needed everywhere and most importantly, permanently!

CTDA won't shift the sp imv. Having news of the AIHL kit published in the NICE Guidance will however make GDR's share price rise considerably. IN the short term I expect a rise to mid 60's and then a slight fall back, followed by a slow and steady rise back to over £1. This could all be hugely accelerated with news of just one government somewhere adopting the kit for all of its hospitals and health care centres. Might be expensive but...far cheaper than all the support and care needed to fully support deaf people through their lives. It's going to happen here and the fact that the NICE guidance should arrive on the 29th followed by results and investor presentation on March 31st makes me think this has been set up a long way in advance and Budd knows exactly what he's going to say to get investors excited once more.
