Late reported trades hit the sp. Over £60k of them. If there’s a deal in the off’ing then someone somewhere would know and the sp would be frothing up nicely.

I wonder if Northern Lithium, which has a 60,000 acre site which includes land in Weardale, is going to get the nod instead. Much bigger site than WL and seems more focused on Investment from the private sector rather than WL which is focused on local involvement. Ideally both should be supported and encouraged to get going as soon as possible but there seems to have been little or no movement by the Govt since Weardale’s last mention in Parliament (I found it) in Nov 2025.

Could Northern make a move to take over Weardale?

Cowdorb - tell me who backs Marechale please. A couple of HNWIs? Be realistic, it’s a tiny outfit who may have just hit a jackpot in investing in Weardale Lithium but there are so many layers of activity that need to happen which are ALL out of their control. It’s a high risk stock with tiny mcap so no ii is going to get involved. The best chance for us as existing holders is a Grant from the UK govt which would light the touch paper and make everyone aware of the huge potential sitting in the ground. When I’m feeling a little more positive I think MAC could end up doing brilliantly out of this. When I’m asleep and dreaming I think of Stubben Edge taking over MAC’s listing and all of us making a bundle in the very near term.

Did he specifically say they would be announcing new paying customers as of February 2026?

I think people are overreacting to there being no announcement yet. If they present tomorrow then surely that's when they would have their moment in the limelight..?

I have said all along I feel a deal is going to be extremely complicated due to Avion's involvement. They just can't be sidelined and who knows what they want to do with the current situation. Imm share holders have to hope Avion don't dig their heels in and scupper a deal with any of the major pharmas. I can't see a major wanting to split P140 with Avion going forward.

If there's silence tomorrow then there's still no deal and Tim has yet again led everyone down the garden path. It's his modus operandi I'm afraid and it is often employed by AIM company Directors and they are never held to account by the FCA. They can pretty much say what they like in an interview but obviously not in an RNS.

I think after tomorrow once it dawns on people Tim still doesn't have a deal on the table the sp is going to take a more serious hit and then will build once again as we approach Easter. Far too much hopium from some posters. Just relentless and unfounded optimism.

OTM is right. People need to be more realistic given who the CEO is and how he has always failed to deliver what he's promised in the past.

I don't think they are behind any more owing to the lack of govt funding since they were given the green light last February. As far as I'm aware Weardale haven't been able to move on anything because they just don't have any money. Perhaps the Govt wants CL to take the limelight before Weardale is given a chance to progress, that way the Govt can revel in the glory of CL success. Could it really be that petty? Anyway, if there's a seriously good chance for major profit with this project I just can't see why some business entity isn't acting quickly on it. What's wrong with it? If it doesn't work out then it will spell the end of Marechale as they have absolutely nothing else decent in the pipeline and they have almost no money themselves.

So, the current price of lithium carbonate is £16,922. 10,000 tons per year gives an annual income of approx £170m! That's each and every year. And that's at today's prices. China's recent actions to control limit supply will result in a huge squeeze of prices so it's perfectly reasonable to imagine will soon reach £2000 - £3,000 per ton.

How this doesn't represent a massive opportunity to some of the equity funds I don't know. I'm hoping Stubben Edge have got this lined up and will do a RTO of MAC and list Weardale on the LSE. They would make an absolute killing. Are we in a chicken and egg scenario and the UK Govt is waiting for the private sector to make the first move so they don't have to offer as much support financially, and the private sector is waiting for the UK Govt to offer a najor Grant to get the whole thing going? It doesn't make sense just now that this project - and MAC's 8% stake - is valued quite so poorly. No wonder the LSE is losing its position as a global financial force and power house. This is valued at £2.5m today. I can sell my house for more than that! Crazy. What and who will light the touch paper here? And when?

What is the UK govt playing at here? Makes no good business sense not to be acting now. It’s going to take 12 - 18 months to develop the plant anyway so they should have started 10months ago! How good would they be feeling now what with the doubling of lithium prices. Instead…’ We’re considering it very closely’

So who dreamed up Alludium announce new paying customers in February?

The delayed printed trade obvs took the balance down, even though LSE says more buys than sells. That’s what happens when the market is bombarded with BOT trades too.

Anyway, tomorrow is another day and if the price of lithium Carbonate takes another step higher it just makes the potential for Weardale even more alluring.

It’s Tim’s MO and no one should be under any illusions about how much and often he has promised and hinted at major things in the past and…failed to deliver on anything.

I’ve not managed to get a sell quote on HL all day for £5k, never mind £40k. I smell some bs…

Good lord, they’ve even upped the bid. What ever will happen next? Could do without all the BOT trades though. Mischief also occurring when one sees so much of that.

Whoa! Do you really mean £40k or 40k shares?

There have been times recently when I cdnt get a quote to sell even £1k so if you really mean £40k then something is most definitely afoot..

I also think that if Tim were to start doing interviews or putting out messages it would not be a good sign as I think if they were in any detailed or serious discussions with a potential partner on a deal that’s the last thing that would be considered good form. From that perspective I would hope for silence I think that would be better.

I very much doubt Tim will be allowed to put out more interviews similar to those we saw back in September. I can easily imagine him being ticked off by potential partners for stoking the fire well before it was justified.
