RE: Bounce back tomorrow or Thursday?14 Feb 2023 17:57
ffs!! Why has it got to bounce back in the next two days? Regardless of all the positives the BOD clearly said they would have to get more funding. It's that that is stopping retail piling in big time and also iis I'm sure. They've said they'll do it and the most likely and easiest way is via a placing and their track record is to do them at punitive discounted rates eg 40% below prevailing share price.
Unless Budd can come to the market and say we've got funding via another source and, by the way, there's good news from the FDA pre submission discussions held in mid December, then investors will stay their hands. Some may try to do quick trades to get their averages down - remember most lths here will be well under water, OR they will simply wait to hear where the next load of cash is coming from before buying in. Yes, they risk missing out if there's a ton of good news but Budd and Gilham have history in not looking after their share holders. Promise much. Deliver very little (until now that is). Watch the sp fly in to the £s and then stay silent as it drops all the way to flipping 8p!
I for one don't believe for a second that post was really from david Budd. It would be the first time I've EVER seen a CEO post on the LSE or any other posting forum. He's shown he's not aligned with share holders but at least things are now looking much rosier for GDR. It's the funding issue that will prevent any 'bounce back tomorrow or Thursday'.
Personally I'm trying to wiggle things about in order to buy more but at a slightly lower price. I'd set myself a target of 25p but decided today just to get more and not play silly buggers. As for the rest of my holding here it's staying put. Too great a risk of losing out and too stressful to think about it every second of every day. All will be well here but just not in the next 5 minutes, days or weeks. In 5 months I think the sp will be at least double where it is so this is for me a great time to be in heavily.
