Slacker, they have another £1.5m they can draw on. They did £600k last time I believe. They have enough cash to keep going for another 6 weeks so with another £600k from RF and income from sales (which we hope are on the increase) they have enough for about 3 months. This would get them well past the July NICE news due on the 10th.

Once that Full recommendation lands we will be presented with a different picture imo.

As for going private, I don’t think Cheek can simply make this decision on his own with the Directors. They would have to have a huge controlling stake amongst the share holding body and I don’t think they do, by a long stretch.

That's exactly what I'd thought Jimi but as we know from experience, once they do a RF drawdown, no matter for how much, RF sell the lot as quickly as they can and so that depresses the sp further. It basically means even if there is a surge of interest closer to July the sp will not climb anywhere near as high as it might have done if Cheek had just got on with a placing recently when the sp was nearer 9p! I assume the sp will therefore drop quite a bit lower on announcing the next RF drawdown and only recover when NICE news is imminent. Knowing AIM these days that news in July will be a 'sell the news' event and then Cheek will be scrambling around trying to raise funds with the sp back at about 5p. On the face of that that wouldn't be a bad result given where we are today but it's fairly nail biting for existing share holders.

Looking grim. Don't think this can bounce anywhere until funding news is announced and I don't think cheek will get any funds from anywhere other than from either RF or a placing at perhaps a 75% discount? ie about 1p

GDR is on the floor and desperate so if anyone wants it then they could probably buy it at the moment for well under £10m. The alternative is going bust, private or further into the death spiral finance deal. Think GDR will end up being bought by the US partner for £5m but only once Cheek has done a huge placing at a massive discount to pay for the FDA submission and clinical trials lined up.

Surely the staff of the company, over 40 of them, must know their jobs are in danger of disappearing? What do they know that the market doesn't in order to be turning up for work every day without knowing if your job will still exist in another 6 weeks. This is no way to treat people, playing fire with their livelihoods gambling on whether or not this hopeless market will get behind GDR on no news and without knowing where the next tranche of funding will come from.

On days like this I think it's better not to support UK small caps no matter how worthy a cause their business endeavours might be. Markets are rigged and the CEOs simply view retail investors as hapless piggy bank holders who are there to be duped into handing over money to lost causes.

Oh yes, but another 2 billion shares have been issued since that and the reputation of the company is in the gutter thanks to its CEO. They MUST get rid of him urgently.

GDR is Hemorrhaging right now. This is awful to watch. Time to abandon ship I'm afraid. It's either a placing at an horrific discount or more RF drawdowns which will see the sp crash anyway due to RF immediately dumping shares at any price. No point to stay in any longer. FFS Cheek pull your finger out NOW and DO something!

Omg Discodog, 3 - 5p? And why would Dr C want to pay 30 to 50 times more than the company is currently worth and valued by the markets? The sp can't even get near 0.1p.

Yeah this isn't worth holding now. They will clearly have to take another few drawdowns from RF to keep the lights on. they have no other option now. I think they still have access to another £1.5m from so there is enough to get them until the end of the summer and over the period when NICE will release news but of course the sp will continue to drop. I honestly think Cheek would not risk so many jobs by letting this get so close to going bust so he's definitely got a plan imho. I think it may well have been pinning all his hopes on a surge of sentiment as we approach NICE news in July but he's hammered away at share holders about needing funding so no one wants to buy until the solution is in plain view.

And fwiw, not been able to sell anything over £500 for the last half an hour so suspect this will be back at 3p by the end of this week.

My money is on dr C and a few others taking it over but at the lowest possible price of course.

Lars has not proved himself capable of anything other than that he is totally inept and out of his depth trying to be the CEO of CPX. Dr C obviously sees a chance of making an impression but to suggest he suddenly sees the current management of doing great things for the company is laughable.

Anyway, if Dr C was at the helm , or even involved in Board decisions (assuming Lars would be shown the door) I'd get back in here. As it is the sp is at .083p

scmdcyp - how you feeling now about your confident predictions this morning? Typical ramp crew inhabiting this bb today and already proved themselves to be way wide of the mark. sp nowhere near .1p yet and not looking likely anytime soon. Worth keeping an eye on but the market has clearly indicated it has no confidence in current mngt. Lars needs to be got rid of urgently imo and someone with some respect in the industry put in place. Lars is an engineer. Not a businessman.

Why are people expecting a rerate? It's been massively diluted and .1p is about the new value according to the market. We're currently under the placing price so unless Lars actually provides some decent revenue figures this is where it's going to stay for he foreseeable.

You've got the usual ramping twats saying it's about to rocket blah blah blah but it's up by about 10% and still about 10% under the placing price.

If this corporate update was the announcement the company recently stated it 'cannot wait' to share then I suspect the ramping crew will be gone within a couple of days. As for me, I will wait for the sp to drop further and also for the next RNS to see if the company has anything worthwhile sharing. If not then I will remain on the sidelines.

Scmdcyp - are you as confident this is going up today as you were whecpx came out of suspension and you confidently posted the sp would be going up 400%? Hmmm

Think I’ll come back at 10am to see if you’re still posting then… Corporate update was a typical AIM sham. NO figures. Two years to profitability. What can we look forward to? Another placing, and soon imo. The next thing will be consolidation because the sp is now just embarrassing.

Tiger, if you hadn’t been 100% wrong with every prediction on this stock to date then I’d be tempted to get a little excited.

GDR are a million miles away from qualifying for a main Nasdaq Listing so that’s not even worth thinking about.

Keeping an eye on this summers, that's all. I'm currently out as I don't trust the management. If however they DO actually share some positive announcements then it will come as a pleasant surprise and I will put my £7.6k back in in order to try and recover at least some of my former losses here. I'll never get it all back but even if a few £k back I'd be slightly less miffed than I currently am.

As it is I don't think Lars has been entirely honest about this Maxwell business and still think there's going to be a bit of a nasty shock for share holders that might land out of the blue. THat's why I'm keen to see this latest issue from the US courts. He's a slippery character this CEO so be very careful here. Absolutely not one to put the kitchen sink into imo.

RF have no shares currently, this was confirmed by Russ in the recent presentation.

I still struggle with why the company didn’t do a big equity raise in March 2023 when the sp was in the 30s and even reach as high as 40p. The RF deal kept the company going for the past year but has dragged the sp all the way to rock bottom. It was a disastrous deal and needed positive news flow and good liquidity to go hand in hand for a good outcome. Of course we all know now the liquidity dried up almost over night after the death spiral finance deal was announced and there has been precious little progress on any front to shout about. The processes GDR has to go through take years not months.

I can’t believe they couldn’t have got an equity raise at the time for say £8m at a price of 15p. Yes, that would have been a huge discount but anything would have been better than the option they took. Given what’s happened Budd had to go but…why is the CFO still in place as he would clearly Harv to have been central to any negotiations. Maybe that’s why he’s so tight lipped in the presentation. I can never quite get out of my head the fact that Budd worked for BC and could possibly have been an activist on their behalf trying to bring GDR to its knees and thus a cheap and easy take over target. We’ll never know.

Now the sp is at 4.5p, the mcap is roughly equal the amount GDR needs to raise more in order to survive to the point where it can stand on its own two feet. Well played Budd and Russ. Long term share holders have lost tens if not hundreds of thousands of pounds thanks to their poor judgement and lack of business acumen. Now the company needs a miracle. It’s quite likely this will have to be taken private to survive but James Cheek appears (to me at least) to be keen to rescue the situation. If he was planning to take gDR private then he would not have said in the presentation summing up statements that GDR is in a ‘brilliant’ place etc instead he would have ignored that and stressed all the negatives and provided the justification for taking it private - and given himself the perfect excuse for doing so.

why woukd Russ have talked about an open offer in which existing sharebholders can participate? it might not happen buy why mention it at all if it's not an option.

I would like them to do this open offer now. see how much they can raise and then use one more RF drawdown if necessary. ikn of course buy I think Cheek has a plan. There is no way this will go bust. Cheek would not risk the livelihoods of nearly 50 employees. there must be an option lurking somewhere. we just have to hope it's not the nuclear one for us retail holders.

Personally I don’t think so. There may be a substantial equity raise and for which perhaps a hefty % of future profit goes for who ever offers the financial support that’s needed now.

Another thought that many have forgotten about, me included, is that the Chairman Gilham has a history of selling companies for large sums. I don’t think he’s going to let this go for peanuts. I think they’ll middle through with RF drawdowns and with Full Recommendation from NICE r we will finally see the sp up and then we see a placing, in which we can all take part. With a lot of luck we watch GDR finally become financially self sufficient generating plenty of revenue from sales of RNR1 and CYP2C19 to come later. At this point I would hope GDR becomes an attractive proposition to bigger players and we all ride off into the sunset with a generous takeover bid. There, that’s my Sunday morning idle thoughts…
