I'm not far off agreeing with IP but I remain wary of the board and the CV's of its members as well as the mountains of free options they have so that most are already in win/win positions whereas many here are not. I do think the time is now for the developer of Cascabel to get moving and do so. I do think Noboa wants the latter asap; illegal mining is clearly awful news in so many ways for the country and its finances. Eliminating the cover of ICA on 18 June could be key. The ASX equivalent is not a punchy. I can imagine a ' window of opportunity' arising with the short closed. I doubt whether the board could get a cheap deal thru and get 51% approval but it is difficult to be sure due to the use of nominee accounts on the share register. I cannot explain the silence of BHP and Newmont. ICA is good for JCC in any event even if they have to counterbid themselves much higher. With PRC backing, they have as much money as they need and as much as anyother potential bidder. IP's figure is credible based on a bidding contest. A much lower figure (25p-30p) is also credible based on no bids and a deal being supported by a board loaded with folk who will make loads at that level anyway. On balance, JCC bid could be the starting gun and then other parties come in. In my view, this month could bring much news here.

You have a right to your opinions as we all do, however, you presumably believe that JCC, NSWF, BHP and Newmont are halfwits just as you presumably believe we are all halfwits here? Solgold has not been an easy company to be invested in. Querying the reason why investors have invested is valid but the potential of the assets owned is quite clear which goes a long way towards explaining investors' investments in the company.

The Board should be bold and clear that this is an independent company that pays its way in a normal fashion. That said, I am perplexed as to what BHP and Newmont have been doing over the last couple of months. Their silence is deafening and I can't explain that.

Me too....from G Mining. Professional and impartial work that we pay for. Any nepotism or perceived nepotism only brings doubt. We all know that there are no free lunches in business.

Could be, Ort, in which case, why was CS allowed another bucket of free options at a fire sale price? As a CA an CFO, he was responsible for financial management and reporting at the company. The Board must immediately demonstrate independence. The company must not be beholden to any outside entity.

JCC's 'technical assistance' is a laughable notion. Simplistically, why would a company that is clearly interested in owning more or all of Solgold be keen to boost the value of the company's assets by way of extra work, more analysis or any other advance in the field that would demonstrate increased value? The Board of Solgold should take immediate steps to make clear that the company is independent and not beholden to JCC or any other entity. It should cancel the JCC assistance agreement as a good start to achieve this.

There's the price graph. Folk who bought at the IPO price will be pleased to be out with a 10% or so profit. Folk who bought interim could have made some money. 50% maybe?

DV was CEO of Metals Acquisition Corp in June 2023 when it acquired the CSA copper mine from Glencore for approximately $1.1 billion. PS was still at Glencore at that time and whilst no formal collaboration is known of, it is highly plausible that DV and PS dealt with eachother across the table during the CSA deal. MAC did an IPO on the ASX in Feb 2024 at Aus$ 17 a share. The company was bought yesterday by Harmony Gold for Aus $18.93 a share.

Agree, PBOW. I would add that much of the violence in Ecuador of late has been due to illegal mining by gangs.

Indeed, Add, let's hope so. We usually have different views but I think we are always cordial to one another. I am pleased about that and for our on-going debate.

Add, I agree, PS did not directly impinge on minority shareholders, but he was a key architect/ enabler of a structure that deprived them of value. Glencore(With PS's strategic involvement) structured a take private that avoided competitive bidding, enriched insiders through change of control incentives then promptly entered a high value JV with Teck post-acquisition. The image of creeping control by Glencore (including the use of concertibles in that case) reminds me a little of SOLG and JCC now.

Add, I mentioned before that I have not been able to find an example where either PS or DV have been associated with a deal that has worked out well for small shareholders of the company in question. With that in mind, I'm hoping there is a first time and that Solgold will be it. I know, hope is not a strategy. O

GLR closed up 10% today, albeit with a ginormous spread of over 16%. As folk have said so often here, key news is overdue.

Do you know the status of Red Cloud? What I mean is, are they paid by Solgold as per HP or are they stand alone consultants? I'm just interested to know this. HP still have a June 2025 SP target of 57p. I'm sure we'll have a party and let bygones be bygones if that comes true :-)
