lol short gold,that does look like an extreme to me about 1428 so stop at 1431 and in at 1426.7,f430 when i read your long at 1425 before you corrected i was about to throw the towel in for ever on gold.

morning all yep gold a very tricky one,decided not to really trade it anymore just small positions at extremes,for me it does really have a mind of it own,although f430 has found a way to do well with it,currently long rio from thursday close,my miners sector chart was looking at a possible reversal up and had to pick one,could have picked better though looking at the couple of 25% rises,goes to show these things are mostly kept secret as there charts didnt to me look nowhere as bullish as rio,re golf farmer thats what it does to you.

F430,I remember the conversation well about long and short at same time,I get what you mean now,if it goes really well one way the other is stopped out,only problem is if it spikes enough both. Ways,I'm going to do a lot of dummy trades and see if think I can do it.

well done on the golf farmer,great feeling from something so non important to anyone else,like when you tell the misses and she doesnt get why you come home and give her a big happy hug.lots of folk will be loving this volotility,as usual bloombirds etc saying sell off starting again,like they have been doing everytime theres been a dip,ive bought the dow the last few times its dipped and its gone back up again,not saying it will everytime,but thats what stops are for.

evening all jusy in from 12h shift and missed the fun ,maybe thankfully,that order for 1431 got hit and was 25 pips up when i clocked it just before leaving for work so took it to breakeven and forgot about it whilst busy never expecting it to drop again,if id have been at home i would have banked our 50%,but ended up without a penny to show,well its def all change again with gold.farmer lot to be said for spring golf putting all in context,sorry F had to give up recent profits but i bet theres a few accounts wiped out by that.

that weekly chart and fib expansion that suggested to me a possible outlandish 1472 ish ,just purely chart watching has suggested if bad vib continues 1431,so thats where ive cast my stone,glass or to of wine,but dont we get too set in our ways about price,lloy barc etc are pounds away from what traders where dealing a few years ago,the share that used to be my fav,AV ive traded it at 175 and at 430.

also about ignoring the news,cnbc are shouting out that gold is DONE for now,ive heard that before,the predetors will be waiting for it to stall properly.

buzzard cyprus has said it may sell off its gold reserves,one of the big us firms said it was unwinding its position etc,etc then all the orders kick in,i have fibbed ive placed a very outlandish gold buy order(last ever)well maybe,its at 1472,taken off the weekly chart but hope for farmer and f430 it isnt filled except on a mad spike down.

farmer,im being very grown up about this and have decided to give up on gold,great fun but too volotile for my trading style and phyce,it was the same with the dax and to a certain extent spx,dow and ftse are far more suited to my tight stop strategy,re golf to play to 9 i can obviusly hit a decent ball though not hugelly long,but been funny the amount of people who have never played with me before do a double take and say i didnt expect that when ive teed off,just like trading not all what it appears.good luck with cey,ive just brought the chart up again,i couldnt trade it,but each to there own,i know your comfortable with the fundementals and must have an idea how it behaves intraday.

morning all interesting fews re gold F430,as we said the other day it only takes a comment or number,then a revision to massively move gold and such,so you have to wonder,farmer we was just 24h out lol,pleased golf went ok ,yes 9 is my handicap,now that im 54 and dont play nearly as much,well practice,its getting harder plus im only very small and sleight and have to use all ive got for the distance required which cant go on for ever.
